What you’ll do 

As the Senior Director for the Engineering organization, you will own the technical and people leadership for Pindrop’s core real-time, multi-signal fraud detection engine. You will be responsible for scaling the distributed systems that analyze voice, device, and behavioral patterns for the world’s largest financial institutions.

  • Define Engineering Strategy: Set the technical vision for the Protect platform, ensuring it remains the industry-leading risk engine for accuracy and signal depth. 
  • Scale High-Performing Teams: Lead and develop a high performing engineering team  that delivers world class products.  
  • Drive Execution Excellence: Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery of complex initiatives across multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP), balancing speed with long-term technical health.  
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Research, Product, Security, and Executive leadership to align the Protect roadmap with business goals and customer needs.
  • Operational Standards: Establish architectural and engineering excellence standards that ensure the Protect engine delivers the best fraud detection rate at massive scale.

Your skill-set 

Must-haves:

  • 10+ years of software engineering leadership experience, including at least 5+ years leading teams through managers.  
  • Proven track record of owning and scaling API-based, distributed systems and microservices in high-demand production environments.  
  • Experience leading large engineering organizations within a remote or geographically distributed model.  
  • Experience with data science infrastructure, ML, and Generative AI implementation. 
  • Strong technical background with deep experience in AWS or GCP. 

Nice-to-haves:

  • Deep knowledge of authentication, fraud prevention, or voice biometrics. 
  • Proven ability to develop innovative processes that measurably increase developer productivity.

US Base Pay Range

$240,000 - $260,000 USD
