THE RUNDOWN

The Senior Multimedia Designer, Playfly Creates will execute the creative direction and implementation of creative projects, as set by the Head of Design. This position will create thoughtful and effective multimedia solutions targeted to the needs specific to each project through expert animation and video production, that help drive revenue for Playfly divisions and partners. 

The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of multimedia design – from animation, web, presentation design projects and processes. With strong typography and layout skills, and experience in conceptualization and development from inception to completion. This role is one of the key liaisons within the Design team to produce tangible creative that connect business strategy, design, creative activation, and data relevant to each unique client on a project-by-project basis. 

An enterprising attitude and substantial level of communication and collaboration is essential to success. Candidates must have an understanding of the needs of the various functions of fast-paced sales departments, along with agency/client needs.  Candidates should be excited about playing a pivotal role in finding better ways for advertisers to speak to sports fans. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Execute multi-platform creative solutions for Playfly divisions and partners as dictated by Head of Design.
  • Leverage understanding of the marketplace, client objectives, advertiser/category nuances and Playfly capabilities to produce multimedia assets from animated visuals to Powerpoint presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with Creates leadership to translate business goals into tangible, creative solutions and ensure successful end-to-end execution of assigned projects.
  • Serve as a creative partner across Design to provide support where needed.
  • Help build and uphold creative excellence on assigned projects to uphold the highest standards and best practices.
  • Push creative boundaries through animated conceptual visualizations, utilizing innovative multimedia executions.
  • Contribute, promote and build creative excellence in execution by championing brand consistency across all visual multimedia assets for Playfly divisions.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

 

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • BFA or BA Degree in Design, Animation or Applied Media (or related) with at least 3-5 years of creative development experience in a broadcast/cable network, integrated marketing or agency environment.
  • Strong communication, organization and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated high level expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premier, plus Microsoft Office, specifically Powerpoint.
  • Ability to edit, convert and manipulate video files of all formats, and create animated visuals
  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital creative projects and processes, with strong layout design and animation skills, and experience in developing marketing/PR materials.
  • Proven exceptional ability to apply and perform multimedia design skills, including concepting, typography, ideation, color theory, texture, and spatial design in scale, visual presentation development and layout.
  • Finger on pulse on current trends in visual arts, emerging technologies, as it relates to animation and video production and their application to the sports industry.
  • Ability to adapt and multitask while managing various timelines in a rapidly changing, high-growth environment.
  • Have an enterprising attitude and excellent collaboration skills.
  • Must understand the needs of the various functions of fast-paced sales departments.
  • PORTFOLIO REQUIRED. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. Portfolio must showcase examples of various creative animations built in After Effects or other relevant applications. Including samples also illustrating mastery in composition is a huge plus.

 

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Office based position; minimal travel required.

 

COMPENSATION

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. 

The base pay range for this role is:

$70,000 - $80,000 USD
