THE RUNDOWN

Playfly Sports is looking for a Director of Creative Services to join our team in Troy Sports Properties.

 

This position reports directly to the Associate Athletics Director / Communications & Creative Content and the Sr. Associate Athletics Director for External Relations

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

· Create visually impactful designs for internal and external digital and print applications

· Provide conceptual ideation, creative direction and constructive feedback, while creating and designing assets used by the department and institution

· Help lead a team of student workers and interns

· Develop creative workflows, manage a queue of requested work, conceptualize individual work, as well as act as a leader and mentor to other designers (freelance and interns)

· Recruit and direct student interns and student workers

· Other job-related duties as assigned

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

· Bachelor’s degree required

· 2+ years of experience working in creative atmosphere with focus on graphic design, video production and/or motion graphics

· Experience in high level sports design (Collegiate and/or Professional)

· Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, or similar programs

· Familiarity of NCAA rules, college athletics content trends, and current social and digital media trends and specifications preferred

· Ability to interpret and utilize brand standards

· Experience in graphic and motion design

· Excellent communication and time management skills

 

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

· Ability to work outside of typical business hours as needed, potentially including, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, and holidays

· Ability to work home athletic events
