The Role:  

Our company is seeking a skilled Field/ QC Estimator to join our amazing team in the Nashville market. The Field Estimator will be in the field 100% of the time and is responsible for assessing construction projects and providing accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.  This role is customer facing while providing consultation and guidance to customers as repair projects are defined, priced, and initiated.  The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  

 

Job Duties:   

  • Conduct on-site assessments of construction projects to determine project requirements, scope of work, and timelines 
  • Attend local Real Estate offices weekly meetings to present our services and generate leads 
  • Analyze project specifications and customer requirements to accurately estimate the costs of materials, labor, and equipment needed to complete the project 
  • Create detailed cost estimates and proposals for clients that include project timelines, budgets, and potential risks or challenges 
  • Collaborate with field managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure that project estimates are accurate and meet project goals 
  • Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and alternative solutions to maximize profitability and efficiency 
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing, and materials to ensure accurate and competitive estimates 
  • Continuously calibrate and improve our pricing models in collaboration with Management to ensure that our pricing remains competitive, margins are maximized, and process efficiencies are implemented 

 What you Bring to the Table:  

  • 3-+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in the field 
  • Experience and knowledge in all areas of home repair and construction 
  • Experience with RenoWalk software and similar scoping/estimating tools a plus 
  • Applicant must be a self-starter who operates independently 
  • Must be goal-oriented, and able to prioritize deadlines 
  • Build and maintain customer relationships to drive business growth 
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail 
  • Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and construction estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanGrid, or Procore 
  • Experience with event-based sales is a plus 
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to project sites as needed
