Maintenance Technician, 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour Shifts (7PM-7AM)

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician 12 hour shifts 2-2-3 rotating schedule 07:00 P.M. -07:00 A.M. must be highly motivated, able to work safely in accordance with OSHA standards, effective as both an independent self-starter and when working cooperatively with others. Must be able to plan and execute work to meet crucial deadlines, efficiently serving our clients and contributing to the success of Crown. 

  • Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
  • Location: Johnson City, TN Manufacturing Plant
  • Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating 12 hour Shifts 7PM-7AM

Responsibilities/Essential Duties:

 

  • Troubleshoot and modify Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) 
  • Experience with HVAC controls and building automation systems
  • Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical control systems and instrument loops
  • Basic knowledge of instrument calibrations and Metrology practices
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical or mechanical failure of production machines and facilities equipment
  • Knowledge of operation of manufacturing/packaging machinery and experience with installation of new and used equipment
  • 3+ years of strong electrical background in troubleshooting motor controls
  • Metal fabrication and welding experience preferred
  • Work with engineering drawings, electrical schematics, engineering flow diagrams, basic shop math, and machine shop skills
  • Knowledge of cGMP practices

 

Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Two-year certificate from a technical college or vocational school preferred
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry preferred
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret SOPSs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Basic shop math skills – whether calculating averages for a control chart, making machine adjustments, or reading prints
  • Ability to solve practical problems
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Documentation, ADP, and ability to use internet tools.
