Supply Chain Inventory Analyst
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Supply Chain Inventory Analyst to join our team in an entry-level, data-focused role. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about analytics, data integrity, and improving business processes within a supply chain environment.
In this role, you will support critical supply chain operations by maintaining high-quality master data, analyzing inventory performance, and developing insights that drive better decision-making. You will gain hands-on experience working with ERP systems, reporting tools, and cross-functional teams while contributing to meaningful operational improvements.
- Reporting to: Supply Chain Business Analytics Manager
- Location: Onsite, Johnson City TN
Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
Drive Data Accuracy & Governance
- Maintain and update supply chain master data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across systems
- Support data governance processes, including validation, audits, and issue resolution
- Assist in improving data standards, structure, and system reliability
Analyze & Deliver Insights
- Analyze inventory and supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools)
- Provide actionable insights to support planning, inventory management, and business decisions
Support Inventory Control
- Monitor inventory transactions and reconcile discrepancies across systems
- Assist with cycle counts, root cause analysis, and inventory accuracy initiatives
- Identify excess, slow-moving, or obsolete inventory and support corrective actions
Transactional & Process Support
- Perform and validate inventory-related system transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and order confirmations
- Execute system transactions supporting CMO (Contract Manufacturing Organization) production jobs, including job creation, material movements, and completion reporting
- Monitor and resolve transaction errors or exceptions to maintain system accuracy and data integrity
- Support inventory movements across internal and external manufacturing locations, including intercompany and third-party activities
- Assist in maintaining accurate system records for production, warehouse, and inventory activity
- Participate in reconciliation activities to ensure alignment between physical inventory and system data
- Support process automation and system enhancements, including data uploads, EDI/API processes, and testing of system improvements
Enable Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Identify opportunities to improve data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and inventory processes
- Collaborate with procurement, planning, operations, and finance teams to align data and inventory practices
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives focused on improving system usage and data visibility
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, or related field
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or project work encouraged)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross functionally
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI, SQL, or ERP systems is a plus
- Interest in data analytics, master data governance, and process improvement
