Associate Director, Sales Training
Job Summary:
The Associate Director, Sales Training plays a pivotal role in driving sales excellence through strategic training and development initiatives. This role will proactively collaborate with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Human Resources, Medical Affairs, Legal, and Customer Service teams to support new hire onboarding, enhance product knowledge, improve selling skills, drive corporate culture, and align with ongoing business priorities. This position includes accountability for onboarding new hires, coaching in the field and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Location: Nashville, TN or Remote with ability to travel
- Salary: $140,000-$160,000 annually + bonus
Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
- Conducts field rides with sales professionals to provide in-field coaching and assess training effectiveness.
- Onboarding completion and certification of all new hires within 90 days of start date
- Support the development of FST role and responsibilities through direction and support.
- Partner with Regional Sales Directors (RSDs) and AVPs to identify team development needs and implement effective coaching initiatives.
- Facilitate both live and virtual training sessions for the sales team, including new hire onboarding and advanced sales skills training.
- Align with one brand marketing team to lead sales training, content creation and launch of new products in addition to new marketing tools and resources.
- Contribute to and execute key marketing and sales training initiatives; assist in the facilitation of national and regional training events and meetings.
- Identify knowledge and skill gaps and provide innovative, data-driven solutions to address them.
- Support business operations, including budget oversight, expense management, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Drive sales performance and achieve quarterly goals in collaboration with sales leadership.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly visible and dynamic environment is critical
- Demonstrated leadership experience in leading sales teams or field management/training
- Excellent coaching and facilitation skills as well as leadership presence
- Develops and nourishes relationships with field sales to provide sales training and marketing initiatives with a clear understanding of field needs to support product positioning, address competitive promotional efforts, and to assess the success of the various communication tools
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, set priorities, meet deadlines and develop workflow processes for multiple projects
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Business travel (up to 70%) required to achieve the objectives of the position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior certification as trainer for programs to build salesforce culture such as Insights, Challenger Sale, Integrity Selling and other sales training courses.
