Wastewater Associate
Job Summary:
Assist in all activities associated with the disposal or transfer of wastewater.
Reporting to: Maintenance Manager
Location: Johnson City, TN Onsite
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
- Maintain wastewater area ensuring logs are updated and product disposed of properly.
- Add chemicals to disinfect water or other liquids
- Inspect equipment on a regular basis
- Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges
- Collect and test water
- Record meter and gauge readings and operational data
- Operate equipment to purify and clarify water
- Clean and maintain equipment and tanks
- Ensure safety standards are met
- Assist in other departments or areas as needed.
- Conform to all cGMP procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Three to five years’ experience in a manufacturing facility. Some knowledge of metric system. Punctual and consistent attendance.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be quality driven with good attention to detail but also be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position requires extended periods of standing and walking on a manufacturing floor environment. Protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gowning) must be worn as required. The role operates in a temperature-controlled pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs may be required. Must be available to respond to critical shift issues outside of scheduled hours on an as-needed basis.
