Executive Director, Head of Enterprise Applications

Dallas, Tx or Nashville, TN

Job Summary:

Revance is seeking a hands-on, strategic leader to own the ongoing support, enhancement, and roadmap for our core business application portfolio. Reporting to the CTO, the Executive Director, Head of Enterprise Applications is accountable for the health, scalability, and continuous improvement of the systems that run our commercial and business operations, including ERP (Aptean Ross), CRM (IQVIA OCE), the Salesforce platform (Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, Loyalty Cloud, Service Cloud), contact center (Five9), payment gateways, and sales training and marketing applications (Allego, Docebo, Exfluential, and others). This is a player-coach role for a thought leader who builds best practices for scale, engineers quality in at the source, and drives toward a “zero incidents” support model.

  • Reporting to: Chief Technology Officer
  • Location: Nashville, TN; Dallas, TX; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Johnson City, TN onsite (hybrid)
  • Salary: $225,000-$250,000 + performance bonus + equity

What You'll Do:

Platform Ownership & Delivery

  • Own end-to-end support, administration, and development of the enterprise application portfolio: ERP, CRM, Salesforce clouds, Five9, payment gateways, and sales training/marketing platforms.
  • Lead and grow a team of business analysts, functional experts, solution architects and project managers; set clear standards for solution design, delivery, and documentation.
  • Direct third-party partners handling programming, customizations, and managed services; own statements of work, delivery quality, and vendor performance.
  • Partner with the Data & AI group's data engineering and integration team to define the integration and data architecture for the application portfolio and coordinate execution; drive integration alignment with platform vendors such as Aptean (Ross) and Salesforce.
  • Partner with business leaders across Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to translate business strategy into an application roadmap with measurable outcomes.

Thought Leadership & AI-Driven Improvement

  • Serve as a thought leader for continuous improvement; create and institutionalize best practices, reusable patterns, and governance that let the portfolio scale with the business.
  • Leverage AI and automation to improve processes across the portfolio and the IT function itself — intelligent ticket triage, automated testing, agent-assisted support, and workflow automation.
  • Evaluate emerging platform capabilities and rationalize the application landscape to reduce cost, complexity, and technical debt.

Business Process & Change Management

  • Lead business process analysis and re-engineering with functional stakeholders before automating; ensure solutions simplify processes rather than codify inefficiency.
  • Drive user adoption through structured change management, training, and stakeholder communication for every major release.
  • Measure adoption and business value realization post-go-live and feed results back into the roadmap.

Operational Excellence & “Zero Incidents”

  • Build support processes and a maturity roadmap oriented toward zero incidents: proactive monitoring, root-cause elimination, problem management, and resilient release practices.
  • Design solutions that minimize rework and error handling for IT: strong requirements discipline, architectural guardrails, automated testing, and quality gates in the DevOps lifecycle.
  • Establish and report on KPIs for system availability, incident and defect trends, delivery predictability, and business satisfaction; ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness for core applications.
  • Coordinate with Security, CSV, and Compliance partners so solutions meet Revance's regulatory and SOX obligations.

What You'll Bring:

  • 12+ years of progressive IT experience with 6+ years leading enterprise application teams; pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences commercial systems experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep hands-on expertise across at least two of: ERP (Aptean Ross or comparable), Salesforce multi-cloud (Marketing, Experience, Loyalty, Service), life-sciences CRM (IQVIA OCE, Veeva), and contact center platforms (Five9 or comparable).
  • Full-lifecycle experience implementing or replatforming a major ERP or CRM — from selection and design through deployment and stabilization.
  • Proven track record building high-performing internal teams while managing outsourced development and managed-services partners.
  • Demonstrated success implementing ITIL-based support models, DevOps practices, and quality-first delivery that measurably reduced incidents and rework.
  • Financial stewardship: vendor spend management, license optimization, and building business cases for major initiatives.
  • Organizational change management experience driving adoption of new platforms and processes.
  • Experience applying AI/ML and automation to IT operations and business process improvement is a plus.
  • Strong executive presence: able to influence senior business stakeholders, communicate technical trade-offs in business terms, and manage competing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree & 6 years of directly related experience, or Master’s degree & 8 years of directly related experience, or Bachelor’s degree & 10 years of directly related experience
  • 5 years of managerial experience directly managing people, projects, programs or resources

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
