Job Summary:

The Video Editor is a key member of The Studio's Media Team, responsible for producing high-quality video content that supports Revance's commercial brands, social media channels, internal communications, and corporate initiatives. This role collaborates closely with producers, directors, writers, art directors, cinematographers, project managers, and marketing stakeholders to deliver compelling visual storytelling that aligns with brand strategy and business objectives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced editor with a strong creative eye, excellent storytelling instincts, and technical expertise in video editing, motion graphics, and post-production. This individual thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining exceptional quality and meeting tight deadlines.

Reporting to:  Manager, Cinematographer & Editor
Location/Territory: Hybrid - Nashville, TN

Responsibilities/Essential Duties:

  • Edit a wide variety of video content, including commercial campaigns, branded content, social media assets, sizzle reels, executive communications, interviews, educational content, and internal communications.
  • Create polished edits utilizing pacing, music, motion graphics, typography, color correction, sound design, and visual effects to effectively communicate brand messaging.
  • Collaborate closely with producers, directors, writers, designers, and creative team members throughout all phases of production—from concept through final delivery.
  • Apply strong storytelling principles to create engaging, emotionally compelling, and audience-focused content.
  • Stay current with emerging video editing techniques, social media trends, and platform-specific best practices.
  • Produce high-quality, fast-turnaround content while balancing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.
  • Source and incorporate licensed music, sound effects, and stock assets that enhance creative storytelling.
  • Execute revisions efficiently by incorporating stakeholder feedback while maintaining creative integrity and project objectives.
  • Maintain consistent visual brand standards across all video deliverables.
  • Prepare, process, export, and archive digital media in multiple formats, resolutions, aspect ratios, and delivery specifications.
  • Manage project organization, media storage, file structure, and backup procedures to ensure efficient collaboration and long-term asset management.
  • Present creative work professionally, clearly communicate editing decisions, and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Contribute ideas that improve creative quality, production workflows, and overall team efficiency.

Education:

  • Minimum Required:
    • BA or higher in film, television and/or media production, or other related creative field; OR demonstrated skills/proficiency in their body of work (portfolio)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in video editing within an agency, production studio, corporate creative department, or comparable environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
  • Strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing cinematic storytelling, commercial editing, motion graphics, pacing, and creative execution.
