About the role

We believe we win based on our People. We have a strong People Mission to “be the place where great people come to do the best work of their careers.”  We aspire to build a talent destination, where highly sought-after top talent wants to work.  We hope our talent legacy lasts far beyond Scribe, cultivating a team of future founders, leaders, and builders, one where people go on to do great things.

Our People are our most valuable asset. We have world-class people, and we’re looking for a strategic People & Talent leader to build a world-class function. This role will own and scale all aspects of People, from talent acquisition, employee experience & retention, employee relations, performance management, development, compensation, benefits, compliance, and org design.

Reporting to the CEO and co-founder, you’ll work closely with the leadership team to shape our people strategy, systems, and processes to support rapid growth in 2025 and beyond. You’ll ensure a seamless, high-impact experience from hiring to career development, enabling our people to excel at Scribe.

This is a high-impact role for a strategic, execution-focused problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.

If you’ve always believed there’s a better way to “do People” in a high-growth environment, and want to see your ideas turn to action, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

  • Recruiting Strategy & Execution – Design and optimize best-in-class hiring processes, ensuring we attract and close top talent with a data-driven approach. Own recruiting for select high-priority roles yourself.
  • HR Strategy – Drive the development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programs that support the organization's goals, foster a positive and inclusive work environment, and ensure a conducive work environment for peak performance and productivity.
  • Compensation & Org Design – Develop competitive compensation structures and scalable org design strategies to support rapid growth.
  • Employee Experience & Development – Own the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to career growth, ensuring a culture of engagement, high performance, and retention.
  • Performance & Culture – Implement high-impact feedback and performance management systems, holding a high bar for talent while fostering a values-driven, high-energy workplace.
  • People Operations & Compliance – Oversee payroll, benefits, compliance, and HR systems, ensuring smooth operations and alignment with regulatory standards and laws.
  • HR Business Partner – Act as a key advisor to the leadership team, driving People strategy that supports business goals and long-term growth.
  • Scale the People and Talent Functions – Lead and grow the People and Talent teams (currently 5 people and growing), ensuring they evolve to meet business needs.
  • Live our Values – be a culture-carrier and beacon of Values in everything we do

You could be a great fit if

You're not just a People leader—you’re a builder and a strategist who thrives in high-growth, fast-moving environments. You understand that People strategy is business strategy, and see People & Talent as the engine that powers a company’s success. You move seamlessly between big-picture strategy and tactical execution, balancing long-term people initiatives with immediate business needs. At your core, you are an operator, excelling at process-building, execution, and data-driven decision-making to scale a high-performing team.

You are a talent magnet, exceptional at attracting, assessing, and onboarding top-tier talent. You are adaptable and proactive, navigating ambiguity with ease and acting as both a player and a coach—rolling up your sleeves when needed while developing a top-tier People team.

Most importantly, you build cultures where people do the best work of their careers, fostering growth and setting a high bar for performance.
