About this role

We are looking for a backend developer with a passion for building scalable systems to join our Platform team.

You should be excited about solving complex problems for our users in an elegant and efficient way while continuously seeking to improve our systems. In this role, you’ll collaborate with user advocates and fellow engineers to shape the future of our product. You will contribute to system design, help foster a strong engineering culture, and mentor other engineers.

You could be a great fit if

• You have 5+ years of engineering experience
• You are an expert with Django and comfortable working with relational databases
• Have experience developing and maintaining scalable systems
• You are a strong advocate for automated testing
• You have seen and are able to implement engineering best practices
• You are user-centric, empathetic, and passionate about your work

Bonus

• Experience with Celery for executing and scheduling background tasks
• Experience with AWS + Terraform
• Startup experience (not required, but we build and move fast!)
