Paralegal
What is SeekOut?
SeekOut is an AI-forward talent optimization company where AI is built into every major function. Every major function in a modern company is being transformed by AI—not someday, but now. The best engineers ship entire products without writing a single line of code. The best marketers run fifty-experiment programs that used to require agencies. The best account executives walk into calls with a depth of prospect knowledge that would have taken a team of researchers a week to compile. At SeekOut, we believe this is not incremental improvement—it is a redefinition of what competence looks like in every function simultaneously. We help organizations recruit, reskill, and redeploy talent with AI-driven solutions, empowering them to align talent strategy with business strategy via breakthrough agentic AI. Our software and services help companies hire the right people and match their talent to the highest-impact roles to drive business success.
What are we looking to add to our team?
A Paralegal who will manage key aspects of the contract lifecycle for SeekOut’s commercial and vendor agreements. This role is a core member of the Finance and Legal Operations team, working cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Engineering to drive contracts from drafting through execution while protecting SeekOut’s interests. You will independently handle contract drafting, redlining, and negotiation of standard terms, manage our contract repository and CLM system, and play a central role in building scalable contracting processes for a growing AI-driven SaaS business. You will partner with outside counsel on escalated legal questions and serve as a go-to resource for internal stakeholders on contract-related matters.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle for customer agreements (SaaS subscriptions, recruiting services), partner agreements, and vendor/procurement contracts, from initial request through execution.
- Draft, review, and redline commercial agreements using established templates and playbooks; independently negotiate standard terms and identify when matters require escalation to outside counsel.
- Maintain and improve contract templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks to reflect evolving business needs and market standards.
- Own the contract management system (CLM)—ensuring accurate records, complete metadata, version control, and reporting on key metrics (cycle time, renewal dates, obligation tracking).
- Manage security and compliance reviews by coordinating DPA execution, overseeing security questionnaire responses with IT, and tracking compliance obligations across the contract portfolio.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to accelerate deal velocity through streamlined contract processes, clear internal SLAs, and proactive bottleneck resolution.
- Track and manage contract renewals, expirations, and auto-renewal deadlines across the portfolio; own the renewal calendar and escalation process.
- Coordinate with Finance on contract terms that impact revenue recognition, billing, and procurement budgets.
- Build and maintain a contracts FAQ and self-service resource library to reduce repetitive legal inquiries from internal stakeholders.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate contract review, redlining, and risk identification—SeekOut expects every team member to integrate AI into their daily workflows to maximize efficiency and output.
- Use AI-powered analytics to identify patterns in contract negotiations, flag non-standard terms, and generate insights that improve playbook effectiveness over time.
What you'll bring to the team:
- 3–5 years of experience in contract management, legal operations, or a paralegal role in a B2B SaaS or technology company.
- Solid familiarity with SaaS commercial agreements (MSAs, order forms, SOWs, DPAs, NDAs) and standard negotiation positions.
- Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign CLM, Agiloft, or similar).
- Working understanding of data privacy fundamentals (GDPR, CCPA) as they relate to commercial contracts and DPAs.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of contracts across multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain contract terms in plain language to non-legal stakeholders.
- Proven experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and IT teams.
- Comfortable presenting AI/automation value in regulated enterprise environments (data privacy, model transparency, change management).
- Demonstrated comfort with AI tools for document review, drafting, or legal operations; enthusiasm for pushing the boundaries of what AI can do in a contracts function.
- Paralegal certification or bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent practical experience is welcome.
- Familiarity with InfoSec standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and security review processes is a plus.
Success Metrics (What “Great” Looks Like)
- Contract cycle times consistently within target SLAs (e.g., standard agreements completed within 5 business days).
- High internal NPS from Sales and Customer Success on contracting process and responsiveness.
- Zero missed renewal or auto-renewal deadlines.
- Accurate and current contract repository with complete metadata in the CLM system.
- Reduction in outside counsel spend on routine contract matters through effective in-house management.
