CI Azumano Travel is dedicated to delivering customer services and solutions for both commerical and business customers, based on the goals of its customers and responding with innovative service and technology.

CI Azumano is hiring a Compleat Developer to join our Travel Technology team. This team member will be responsible for development, maintenance, and support of code inside Compleat including the various connections to external data sources. The Compleat Developer will work closely with internal team members to create creative solutions and workflow efficiencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate with other CI Azumano departments and 3rd party vendors on new tools and processes to support the team with a goal of reducing repetitive tasks and increasing velocity while maintaining customer satisfaction and company profitability.
  • Maintain effective working relationship with all departments and vendors to ensure all aspects of customer projects/program implementations are achieved in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain working knowledge of travel technology products including product upgrades and new products. Determine impact and communicate to internal/external parties as applicable.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to provide support to the team as required.
  • Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to Sr. Director, Travel Technology
  • Provide regular feedback to leadership regarding customer relationships, escalating any unresolved client issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate, high-quality and timely documentation for all travel technology-related processes and procedures
  • Identify and define business growth opportunities.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by management
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Provide backup assistance for other staff within the department.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Consult with internal customers on specific needs to develop technical requirements, recommending best practices and alternative solutions as needed.
  • Design, develop, test, implement, and communicate changes to Compleat mid-office routines and processes.
  • Perform system maintenance duties, ensure the application is kept current with vendor releases, patches and other requirements.
  • Ensure all application changes and upgrades follow a standard process, while keeping exceptions to a minimum, coordinating with other departments to determine if all needs are met.
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounts (i.e. basic account setup, custom requirements, etc.)
  • Work directly with third party vendors to manage projects when necessary.

Support Desk Responsibilities:

  • Receive internal and external client inquiries primarily via email or Zendesk, regarding product functionality or problems; research with the client to fully diagnose the issue then develop creative solutions and respond within established timelines.
  • When appropriate provide consultative guidance to internal and external customers towards the resolution to their service issue.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts as necessary to resolve customer issues internally and externally.
  • Logically diagnose and resolve basic to intermediate issues or determine resources required to resolve.

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • 4+ years Compleat programming experience and demonstrated competence required
  • Travel Industry Experience required
  • Experience in Java application development strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Experience in web development using Web Services (SOAP/REST) strongly preferred
  • Experience with SQL Server or similar database technologies preferred
