Sales Executive

We are looking for 4 Sales Executive with multi-year experience in Sales, Retail media & Digital marketing solutions to join our growing Shopper Experiences team. In this individual contributor role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships and helping drive adoption of our retail media solutions. This role is ideal for a results-obsessed seller who owns a book of business while supporting light technical conversations to ensure frictionless solution delivery.

You will collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, customer success, pricing and analytics) to ensure client needs are exceeded, while always knowing, adapting & applying to industry trends impacting how brands engage with shoppers within all surfaces.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales Execution – Prospect, pitch and close new business with CPG brands, retailers and agencies across Shopper Experiences and Retail media ecosystems
  • Account Management – Manage and grow mid-to large-sized accounts delivering strategic recommendations and media plans aligned with client goals
  • Retail Media Expertise – Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) within retail media landscape always educating clients on capabilities, agreement cycles and marketplace trends
  • Pre-Sales Technical Support – Partner with sales engineers and product teams to answer basic technical questions, help scope client use cases and escalate highly technical client needs.
  • Solution Storytelling – Build compelling sales narratives using data and platform insights to communicate value of SPINS Shopper Experiences platforms
  • Collaboration – Work with cross-functional teams and other discipline SMEs to ensure clients receive seamless and timely onboarding, support and measurable performance outcomes
  • Reporting & Maximization – Use CRM and analytics tools to manage/maintain accurate & up-to-date pipeline, forecast accountability, and identify maximization opportunities
  • Profitability – Fiscally manage book of business with rigorous margin adherence to maximize monthly, quarterly and annual profit goals

Education and Experience

  • Aligned to SPINS core Values: Direct, Determined, Passionate & Collaborative
  • 3–5 years of experience in digital media, retail media, ad tech or shopper marketing sales
  • Familiarity with retail media platforms, shopper engagement strategies and emerging and scaled CPG brand needs
  • Effective communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify and translate complex ideas for multiple internal and external business audiences
  • Fluent in both brands’ and retailers’ language and highly skilled at connecting the two
  • Comfortable engaging in light technical discussions; experience working alongside sales engineers or product teams
  • Proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce, Crossbeam and Sales Engagement Platforms, e.g. Outreach.io and knowledge of performance metrics, campaign analytics and reporting dashboards.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and drive results in a fast-paced, agility based and cross-functional environment
  • Ability to simultaneously see upstream and downstream, identify and solve client’s, brand’s and retailer’s problems quickly
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a builder mentality for digital Shopper Experiences innovation within e-commerce, omni-channel and B&M retail

Hiring Range: $90k/yr-$105k/yr. In addition, this role is eligible for up to a $95k commission potential.
