Data Science/Analytics Intern

⏳ Duration: 11 weeks (June 2nd - August 15th)

🕒 Schedule: 40 hours per week

💼 Salary: $600-$1,000/week

Join us this summer for a hands-on, high-impact internship, where you’ll collaborate with experienced data practitioners, tackle meaningful projects, and gain invaluable experience in a fast-paced, startup environment.

What You’ll Do

Each intern will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance, feedback, and support throughout the internship. Your mentor will help you deliver a full end-to-end project, ensuring you gain hands-on experience building a data-driven improvement for our business:

• Perform analyses and build data products using Python and SQL
• Work closely with product managers, data analysts/engineers, and business leaders to create projects that use data to move our business forward
• Help develop technical documentation and foster knowledge sharing within the team
• Learn about our data stack and how data is created, transformed, and managed. Work with and understand the entire lifecycle of data at Spot & Tango
• Keep up with emerging technologies and explore ways to improve our products

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Proficient in Python and SQL
• Familiar with Python data science libraries, e.g. panda, scipy, scikit-learn, and data collection libraries like beautifulsoup
• Understanding of databases (SQL vs NoSQL, understanding ERDs, etc)
• Passionate about technology and excited to work in an agile, fast-moving startup environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Dog lovers are a plus!
