Engineering Team Manager - Finance Capital

The Financial Solutions Capital team builds features that give merchants access to fast, flexible financing for business growth and ensure seamless cash flow management. We develop the services that guarantee a reliable and delightful experience from the moment a shopper adds a product to their cart to the fulfillment moment when they receive their purchase. We believe that an excellent product doesn't stop at a great user experience; it needs to have a solid foundation of scalability, reliability and a robust developer experience.

This is a hybrid role working from our Dublin office 3 days per week. You will report to the Financial Solutions International Engineering Manager.

  • Distill the scope of the team and help hire a balanced group of engineers to excel as a unit.
  • Foster career development of direct reports through regular 1:1s and direct, actionable feedback.

  • Flow fluid team process and continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Nurture high performing software engineering.
  • Evolve a deep understanding of relevant systems to campaign for appropriate architectural choices.
  • Plot with Design, Product and Engineering to champion and implement an impactful roadmap.
  • Bond departments of Engineering, Product, Design, Marketing, Data Science and Operations.

Who We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience managing a Product engineering team of four or more engineers.
  • 7+ years of industry experience deploying apps across large codebases with many contributors.
  • Ability to fluently translate, document and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Strong technical foundations to navigate the inherent tradeoffs in product engineering decisions.
  • A manager who prioritizes an inclusive culture of psychological safety and technical rigor.
