The Squarespace Domains group is looking for a Backend Engineer! Our group’s products offer customers the tools to establish the foundation of their digital presence. The teams are focused on building new features to allow customers to do more with their domains. The Registrar is the core foundation of the Domains business. They own the integration with the Registries and are responsible for ensuring the domain is registered correctly on the internet. On this team you will get the opportunity to contribute to one of the largest domain registrars in the world and work on interesting challenges related to infrastructure, scalability and reliability

This is a hybrid role working from our Aveiro office 3 days per week. You will report to the Engineering Team Manager.

You'll Get To…

  • Help scale our services to support our growing product needs
  • Participate in high impact projects to help build the future of the Domains and Email products
  • Work with and learn from Senior and Staff engineers on the team
  • You will lead well-scoped backend projects with guidance from senior engineers

Who We're Looking For

  • 2 + years of experience developing production systems using Java or similar Object-oriented languages
  • A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, databases and software design practices
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related or equivalent industry experience
  • Ownership towards features and projects you are working on
