Overview
Storable is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Engagement Manager to lead complex custom software implementations and professional services projects for our most strategic marine and waterfront customers. In this role, you will be the central orchestrator of project delivery, serving as the critical bridge between executive-level marina and marine-operations clients and Storable’s internal teams.
You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope, while aligning each engagement with our clients’ strategic objectives and Storable’s product vision. This role is ideal for a seasoned services leader who thrives in ambiguity, can influence senior stakeholders, and is excited to use AI-powered tools to elevate execution, insights, and client outcomes.
What you’ll do every day
- Strategically lead and oversee the full lifecycle of custom software development and professional services projects, from initial scoping and planning through execution, launch, and post-implementation stabilization.
- Act as the primary strategic point of contact for executive-level customers, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships that drive satisfaction, adoption, and repeat business.
- Partner closely with Sales and Account Management to deeply understand complex customer needs and translate them into actionable project plans, detailed requirements, and robust, commercially sound Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Drive alignment between custom solutions, Storable’s evolving product strategy, and engineering capacity, advocating for scalable, sustainable, and repeatable solutions.
- Serve as the primary bridge between clients and Product & Engineering, facilitating planning conversations, managing UAT, and orchestrating successful launches.
- Collaborate with customer-facing teams, including Implementation and Training, to ensure a cohesive, high-quality delivery experience across all touchpoints.
- Ensure rigorous project governance by maintaining comprehensive documentation and providing clear, concise, and timely status updates to internal stakeholders and client executives.
- Proactively monitor and analyze project performance metrics, leveraging AI-powered tools to translate data into actionable insights for continuous improvement and strategic decision-making with clients and internal teams.
- Expertly manage project financials, including budget oversight, cost tracking, forecasting, risk mitigation, and identifying opportunities to enhance project profitability and efficiency.
- Champion operational excellence within the Professional Services team by identifying, developing, and implementing best practices in project delivery, client engagement, and process optimization, including the use of AI assistants and automation to accelerate planning, documentation, and communication.
What you need to bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience, and a minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in Professional Services, Engagement Management, or senior Project Management within a SaaS organization serving enterprise-level clients.
- Deep expertise in Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), particularly Agile methodologies, and their practical application in custom software projects.
- Proven success leading complex cross-functional initiatives and effectively partnering with Sales, Product, Engineering, Account Management, and Legal to achieve shared objectives.
- Exceptional executive presence and client-facing communication skills, with a track record of building and nurturing strategic relationships and influencing C-suite and senior leadership stakeholders.
- Extensive experience with financial management of projects, including budget planning, cost control, forecasting, risk management, and driving project profitability.
- Expert-level proficiency in crafting comprehensive and legally sound Statements of Work (SOWs) and other project documentation for complex, multi-phase software engagements.
Bonus points
- PMP, CSM, or other relevant project management certifications.
- Experience working with marinas, boat clubs, rental operations, or other marine or asset-intensive industries.
- Experience operating in global, distributed teams and coordinating stakeholders across multiple time zones.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve the quality, speed, or impact of project delivery, analysis, and client communication.
