About the role

Our marketplace features help connect consumers with beauty professionals who can achieve the look they want, and in turn, they help beauty professionals grow their business with quality new clients. As a Senior Product Manager, you will focus on building our consumer product, helping clients manage their beauty routine, and discover new services and Pros in our marketplace. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners on strategic direction, ideation, and validation; work with engineers and data scientists to build, launch, and test concepts; and learn from customers and data to keep StyleSeat on the cutting edge of technology for the beauty and wellness industry.

What you’ll do

Main Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy: Define and lead a product strategy that puts customers first and delivers on business goals
  • Be the Customer Expert: Get to know our customers inside and out—identify, validate, and prioritize their biggest needs to guide what we build
  • Drive Impact: Assure you’re balancing the right mix of investments based on confidence, opportunity size, and time to impact
  • Build great products: Partner with design to create intuitive, high-quality experiences that delight users and solve real problems
  • Work Agile: Drive continuous value to the community and the business through iterative product development
  • Inspire: With a well-defined and transparent vision, strategy and insights that you communicate to your team and the broader business

  • Expert in our Clients and product, and able to guide and educate other departments on how things work
  • Delivered a new feature or improved feature that increased engagement, adoption and impact for the business
  • Identified a new area of opportunity for impact, and built your case for prioritization
  • Built a 6-month roadmap for your team

Who you are 

Successful candidates can come from a variety of backgrounds, yet here are some of the critical experiences we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including:
    • 3+ years building products focused on consumer or two-sided (B2B2C) marketplace
    • Demonstrated success identifying opportunities, defining and launching excellent products that you can connect to business impact
    • Demonstrated success building adoption for established products
    • Experience using lean, user-centric, and insight-driven product development methodologies
    • An ability to break a roadmap down into experiments for testing hypotheses
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, dynamic environment 
  • Have an owner-mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The career level we are targeting for this role has a base pay between $152,700 and $190,900. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. Base pay ranges are subject to change and may be modified in the future.
