Job Description
We are looking for an energetic and experienced Account Executive to own the entire K-12 school sales funnel in Northern California (fully remote, but must be located in Northern CA). You will be responsible for signing on new accounts to use the Swing platform as their primary source for finding substitute teachers as well as converting prospects into Swing customers.
Ideally, you will have K-12 sales experience with the ability to tap into your existing network of education leaders and decision makers will help you close business.
You will be able to get out into the field guiding the sales cycle to state, school district and charter school leadership through presentations, confirming state policies, and RFP management. The understanding of the state education landscape will assist with the selection of the appropriate decision maker to help accelerate the lead generation and closed deals. Forecasting will also be essential in this unique marketplace because of the need to match school needs with available substitutes.
Base salary is in the $90k to $100k range with anticipated first year total compensation of $160k to $190k
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own processes that span across multiple Northern CA territories, adapting them to fit each market need
- Build pipeline and close new business while helping build the Swing brand in your territory
- Lead sales meetings with school and district administrators
- Lead the sales cycle from from initial contact through to board approval and contract execution
- Develop and present quarterly sales plans for your territory
- Collaborate with the marketing team to generate leads in targeted regions
- Conduct thoughtful research of target accounts to turn leads into deals
- Host events with school leaders and attend conferences where you can generate leads and generate buzz about Swing
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have 5 or more years of enterprise sales experience with at least 2 years in education sales
- Deeply understand your territory and can influence our approach to winning in it
- Combine a can-do attitude with the desire and focus to exceed sales goals
- Take a collaborative, team approach in working with Customer Success and Marketing
- Are persistent, organized, and goal-oriented, and have a keen sense of prioritization
- Have a habit of accurately updating your CRM and pipeline once a week
- You consider yourself a technology enthusiast and enjoy learning how to use new technology tools
- Travel; Potential for the need of your attendance for in person substitute events, as well as HQ events
- Ability to work PST business hours is required

COMPENSATION:
$160,000 - $190,000 USD
