**This is a hybrid position that requires 3 days per week in office at our Bangalore location**

Syndigo is looking for a Solution Architect to own end-to-end solution and functional architecture for enterprise PXM, PIM, and MDM implementations, ensuring strong alignment between business strategy, data strategy, and technical execution.

This role is accountable for leading discovery, defining target-state architecture, and producing clear, scalable, governed functional designs across systems. The Solution Architect works with customers, Program Managers, Implementation Leads, Product, Engineering, and Partners to translate requirements into executable solutions.

The Solution Architect reduces delivery risk and prevents rework by acting as the design authority and data governance champion across Syndigo's delivery programmes. As agentic commerce reshapes how product data is consumed, this role also owns whether a customer's data foundation is genuinely ready for AI.

HOW WE’LL BE WINNING TOGETHER DAY TO DAY

Functional Solution Design

  • Lead functional discovery to understand business processes, data requirements, and target-state objectives
  • Define and document data models, hierarchies, taxonomies, attributes, workflows, and business rules across PXM, PIM, and MDM
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, governed functional designs aligned to platform capability
  • Produce a clear Functional Specification Document at the close of each solution phase

Integration & Data Strategy

  • Define integration approach, system interaction models, and data ownership boundaries
  • Align data migration strategy, validation approach, and cutover planning with delivery teams
  • Ensure functional alignment across upstream systems such as ERP and PLM and downstream channels such as commerce, marketplaces, and syndication
  • Set data quality thresholds and governance rules that the delivered solution must sustain

Design for AI & Agentic Commerce

  • Assess whether a customer's taxonomy, attribution, and data quality are sufficient for AI enrichment and agentic consumption
  • Design human-in-the-loop checkpoints into target-state workflows so automation stays governed
  • Define where AI agents may act unattended and where human approval remains mandatory
  • Specify the data quality and completeness thresholds that make AI output trustworthy

Cross-Functional & Multi-Team Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Implementation Leads, Program Managers, Product, Engineering, and partner teams
  • Facilitate customer and partner workshops, design reviews, and solution walkthroughs
  • Provide continuous design guidance during implementation to prevent scope creep and rework

Design Governance & Quality

  • Act as design authority to ensure functional consistency and architectural integrity against Syndigo best practice and product guidelines
  • Ensure adherence to data governance standards, best practice, and Center of Excellence guidelines
  • Review solution changes and assess downstream impact across systems before approval

Working with AI

  • The Solution Architect carries the deepest AI responsibility in the delivery organisation. The role decides whether a customer's data foundation can support AI and agentic commerce, and designs the governance that keeps automation safe.
  • Lead data readiness assessment for AI, covering taxonomy structure, attribute coverage, completeness, and data quality
  • Design target-state architecture that supports AI-driven enrichment, content generation, and agentic retrieval
  • Define human-in-the-loop control points, approval thresholds, and audit requirements within designed workflows
  • Use approved AI tooling to accelerate discovery synthesis, data profiling, mapping proposals, and design documentation
  • Validate every AI-assisted design artefact personally, since design errors propagate further than build errors
  • Advise customers honestly on where AI will and will not deliver value against their current data maturity

WE SHOULD TALK IF THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOU

  • Strong analytical and functional solution design capability for enterprise data platforms
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable, governed functional designs
  • Strong understanding of PXM, PIM, MDM, or comparable data platforms and their integration patterns
  • Deep grounding in data governance, data quality, taxonomy, and master data principles
  • Excellent workshop facilitation and stakeholder communication skills
  • Ability to reduce ambiguity early and prevent downstream delivery risk
  • Clear communication with both technical and business audiences, including executive stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree or equivalent advanced credential preferred
  • 10+ years in solution architecture, business analysis, or enterprise data platforms
  • Strong experience with PXM, PIM, MDM, or comparable data-centric platforms
  • Data management certification such as CDMP or DAMA DMBOK alignment is an advantage
  • Enterprise PXM, PIM, MDM, or comparable data platforms
  • APIs, integrations, REST services, and JSON-based configuration
  • SQL and reporting for data analysis, profiling, and validation
  • Python and Postman for data inspection, API validation, and analysis
  • Data modelling notation, taxonomy design, and hierarchy management
  • GS1 standards, GDSN, and retailer or marketplace content requirements
  • Data quality measurement and governance frameworks
