Senior Performance Marketing Manager - Tee

New York, NY (Remote)

At Talkspace, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and belonging-centered workplace where everyone can thrive while making a difference in mental health. Want to help over two million people receive quality mental healthcare? Come join our mission of getting therapy in the hands of everyone!

We’re looking for a Senior Performance Marketing Manager to help drive customer acquisition and support product led growth for Tee. Reporting to the Senior Director of Growth Marketing, this role will lead the day-to-day management and optimization of Tee’s performance marketing programs, translating broader growth strategy into actionable channel plans, campaigns, testing roadmaps, and optimization opportunities. This is a highly analytical and hands-on role for a performance marketer who knows how to connect the dots across media, creative, audience insights, and the user journey. You’ll be expected to understand not only what is happening within our paid channels, but why it is happening and what we should do next. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable digging into campaign performance, developing a media strategy, briefing new creative concepts, managing production workflows, analyzing the conversion funnel, and turning data into clear recommendations. This is an opportunity to play an important role in building and scaling a new consumer offering within Talkspace. To work at Talkspace, you need to be as passionate as we are about our work, and excited to partner with us on delivering quality mental healthcare.

This is a remote position based on Eastern Time. Talkspace Headquarters is located in NYC.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive Performance Marketing
    • Lead the day-to-day management and optimization of Tee’s performance marketing programs across key paid acquisition channels, including SEM, Meta and TikTok, to start.
    • Translate broader growth objectives into actionable channel strategies, campaign plans, and optimization priorities.
    • Manage performance toward key acquisition goals, including sign-up volume and paid subscribers and monitor key metrics such as CAC/CPA, conversion rate, and overall marketing efficiency.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of performance across channels and proactively identify meaningful trends, opportunities, and risks.
    • Partner with external and internal teams to ensure campaigns are executed effectively and continuously optimized.
    • Stay current on platform changes, emerging acquisition tactics, and evolving performance marketing best practices.
  • Analyze & Optimize Performance
    • Monitor performance across campaigns, audiences, creative, placements and funnel stages.
    • Proactively diagnose performance changes to understand what is happening, why it is happening, and what action should be taken.
    • Identify anomalies and emerging performance issues early and drive timely resolution.
    • Go beyond platform-reported metrics to understand traffic quality, conversion behavior, and downstream acquisition outcomes.
    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and unlock incremental scale.
    • Establish appropriate monitoring, reporting, and performance guardrails across campaigns.
    • Translate performance data into clear insights and recommendations rather than simply reporting results.
  • Lead Testing & Experimentation
    • Develop and manage a structured performance marketing testing roadmap aligned with Tee’s broader growth priorities.
    • Identify opportunities to test audiences, messaging, creative, bidding strategies, campaign types, landing experiences, and new acquisition channel strategy
    • Establish clear hypotheses, success criteria, and measurement plans for tests.
    • Synthesize results into actionable learnings and recommendations for future investment and optimization.
    • Partner with Senior Director of Growth Marketing and Analytics on broader measurement initiatives.
    • Build a culture of continuous experimentation, ensuring both successful and unsuccessful tests contribute to future strategy.
  • Manage Budgets & Forecasting
    • Manage day-to-day budget pacing against approved monthly and quarterly plans.
    • Develop channel-level forecasts for spend, acquisition volume, CAC, and other key performance indicators.
    • Recommend budget reallocations based on performance, marginal efficiency, and growth opportunities.
    • Proactively flag risks and opportunities that could impact forecasted performance.
    • Partner with the Senior Director of Growth Marketing on investment planning and recommendations for scaling efficient acquisition.
  • Lead Performance Creative Strategy & Production
    • Own the performance creative pipeline for Tee, ensuring a consistent cadence of new creative concepts, iterations, and refreshes across paid media channels.
    • Translate performance data, audience insights, and channel learnings into actionable creative briefs and testing opportunities.
    • Partner closely with internal Creative teams, to bring performance creative from concept through launch.
    • Manage creative production workflows, including briefing, timelines, feedback, approvals, asset delivery, and trafficking readiness.
    • Develop a structured creative testing roadmap across messaging, concepts, hooks, formats, talent, calls-to-action, and other creative variables.
    • Monitor creative performance to identify fatigue, emerging winners, and opportunities for iteration, ensuring learnings are incorporated into future production.
    • Adapt creative strategies and assets to channel-specific best practices across Meta, Google/YouTube, TikTok, and other emerging platforms.
    • Identify opportunities to efficiently scale creative production through modular asset development, creator/UGC partnerships, AI-enabled workflows / creative iteration, and external production resources.
    • Partner with the Senior Director of Growth Marketing and Creative stakeholders to ensure performance creative supports Tee’s broader growth strategy and brand experience.
  • Understand the Acquisition Funnel
    • Analyze performance beyond media metrics to understand how customers move from initial engagement through conversion.
    • Identify where funnel performance is improving or deteriorating and investigate potential root causes.
    • Partner with Analytics and Product to identify opportunities to improve landing-page and conversion performance.
    • Distinguish between media-driven performance changes and broader site, product, tracking, or conversion issues.
    • Bring funnel insights back into media strategy, creative development, and optimization.
  • Communicate & Collaborate
    • Develop concise weekly and monthly performance narratives explaining ad performance, key drivers, risks, opportunities, and recommended next steps.
    • Translate complex performance data into clear, actionable insights for Marketing leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Partner closely with Analytics, Creative, Product, Finance, and other teams to advance Tee’s growth priorities.
    • Ensure initiatives move forward with clear owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
