🧭 How We Hire: The Head, Heart, and Briefcase

At Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations, we believe great performance comes from alignment across three areas:

  • 🧠 Head – your natural behavioral drives and cognitive agility (measured by our Predictive Index assessment)
  • ❤️ Heart – your values, passions, and what drives you to make a meaningful impact
  • 💼 Briefcase – your experiences, skills, and results from past roles

Every step of our process is designed to understand you in all three areas. It's how we ensure the best mutual fit—not just for what you can do, but for how you'll thrive here long-term.

You'll start with the Predictive Index (PI) assessment (takes less than 20 minutes total), then move through structured interviews, work samples, and culture-focused interviews. We respect your time and promise clear, timely communication throughout.

🌍 Your Purpose

Dynamic's Recycling business has been a foundation of our company for decades. Today, it remains a critical strategic advantage—fueling our vertically integrated business model, offering sustainable solutions for end-of-life technology, and creating long-term value for our customers, our business, and the environment.

As our Strategic Sales Manager – Recycling, you'll lead the commercial strategy for this essential business while helping shape its next chapter. You'll develop a talented sales team, strengthen strategic customer and supplier partnerships, and help us identify new opportunities for profitable growth.

Your team develops and strengthens relationships with municipalities, OEMs, collectors, manufacturers, commercial generators, and strategic suppliers to secure the material streams that drive our Recycling business. From Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs to high-value scrap purchasing and strategic sourcing initiatives, your team helps position Dynamic as the preferred partner throughout the recycling ecosystem.

You'll inherit an experienced team with deep knowledge of our customers, markets, and industry. We aren't looking for someone to walk in believing they have all the answers. Your first job will be to learn the business, understand what already works, build trust, and earn credibility. From there, we'll expect you to challenge the team when needed, strengthen sales discipline, develop talent, and help us perform at an even higher level.

Success won't simply be measured by revenue growth. It will be measured by:

  • The strength and performance of the team you develop
  • The quality and longevity of our customer and supplier relationships
  • The revenue and margin improvement you help create
  • The commercial discipline you bring to the organization
  • Your ability to position Dynamic's Recycling business for sustainable long-term growth

You'll report directly to our Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, a respected commercial leader with a proven record of developing talent and building high-performing teams.

This is an opportunity to make an immediate impact while continuing to expand your own commercial, people-leadership, and enterprise capabilities.

💪 What You'll Do

Lead the Team

  • Lead, coach, challenge, and develop a high-performing Recycling sales team
  • Drive revenue and profitable growth through the performance of the team—not simply through individual contribution
  • Establish clear sales goals, KPIs, operating rhythms, and performance expectations
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and development to sales professionals at different levels of experience
  • Address performance gaps directly and constructively while maintaining strong relationships
  • Create an environment where talented people are challenged, supported, and accountable for results

Drive the Business

  • Develop and execute market growth strategies to expand Dynamic's Recycling business
  • Manage to revenue, margin, pipeline, customer, and other key commercial outcomes
  • Analyze sales performance, profitability, market conditions, and business trends to guide decisions
  • Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, CRM discipline, and sales-process effectiveness
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales productivity, customer value, and profitability
  • Balance near-term execution with longer-term market development and strategic growth

Build Strategic Relationships

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key enterprise customers, suppliers, and strategic partners
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and high-value business opportunities
  • Represent Dynamic in customer meetings, industry events, conferences, and strategic partnerships
  • Build credibility internally and externally through strong communication, sound judgment, and follow-through

Lead Across Dynamic

  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, Marketing, Logistics, and other business units to create strong customer solutions
  • Understand how commercial decisions affect operations, margin, customer experience, and the broader business
  • Challenge ideas and processes constructively while supporting enterprise decisions once they are made
  • Drive continuous improvement across sales processes, customer experience, and overall business performance

🎓 What You Bring (Briefcase)

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience of successful B2B sales, account management, or business development experience, with leadership, mentoring, or team lead experience.
  • Experience developing customer relationships and leading sales initiatives
  • Experience managing sales performance, forecasting, or business metrics
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%

Preferred

  • Recycling, metals, or electronics recycling industry experience
  • Commodity buying/selling experience
  • International sales experience
  • Smelter or downstream recycling market knowledge

🧠 Skills & Abilities (Head)

We're looking for someone who brings both strategic thinking and a bias toward action.

You'll likely thrive here if you:

  • Understand how revenue, margin, pricing, customer value, and operational decisions connect
  • Quickly identify the real issue behind a business problem
  • Use data without becoming paralyzed waiting for perfect information
  • Know how to turn strategy into measurable execution
  • Ask thoughtful questions before drawing conclusions
  • Recognize patterns and connect dots across customers, markets, operations, and financial outcomes
  • Establish clear operating rhythms and use metrics to drive accountability
  • Can make difficult decisions while considering their impact across the business
  • Move with urgency while maintaining sound judgment
  • Are comfortable operating in an evolving environment where not every answer is obvious

❤️ Who You Are (Heart)

We're looking for an accomplished sales leader who still has significant growth ahead of them.

You don't need to have spent 15 years leading a massive sales organization, and you don't need to know the recycling industry on day one.

You do need a strong B2B sales foundation, demonstrated success leading people to results, strong business judgment, and the humility to learn before you change.

You're competitive and collaborative.

You enjoy winning, but you get the greatest satisfaction from creating an environment where your team wins.

You build strong relationships, but you aren't afraid of difficult conversations.

You advocate for your people, but you understand that leadership also means holding people accountable and supporting decisions that are right for the overall business.

You're confident enough to challenge the status quo and humble enough to recognize when someone else knows more than you do.

You're someone who:

  • Is energized by driving results through a team
  • Can confidently coach experienced sales professionals
  • Builds trust before trying to change what's already working
  • Holds high standards without creating unnecessary ego or drama
  • Challenges people directly while maintaining strong relationships
  • Uses KPIs and operating rhythms to create clarity and accountability
  • Understands that sales activity only matters if it produces the right revenue, margin, customer, and business outcomes
  • Learns quickly and seeks context before reaching conclusions
  • Can advocate passionately for an idea or person—and still align and move forward when a different decision is made
  • Takes ownership rather than waiting for someone else to solve the problem
  • Balances urgency with judgment
  • Is resilient, adaptable, curious, and energized by change
  • Wants feedback and actively seeks opportunities to improve
  • Has the ambition to grow into broader commercial or enterprise leadership over time

We're looking for the right ingredients—not someone who's already done everything.

If you're sharp, driven, humble, curious, commercially minded, and excited by the opportunity to lead an experienced team while continuing to grow yourself, we'd love to meet you.
