We are excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and analytical Revenue Operations Analyst to join Tipalti’s dynamic Revenue Operations team. In this essential role, you will be instrumental in refining our revenue processes, ensuring the integrity of our data, and providing valuable insights that support strategic decision-making. This will contribute significantly to our company’s growth and success.
Your role will encompass a variety of essential tasks, including month-end close responsibilities, revenue recognition compliance, process improvement and automation, cross-functional collaboration, and conducting ad hoc analyses.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Month-End Close: Conduct monthly general ledger (GL) accounting close procedures, which include, but are not limited to, preparing journal entries and performing reconciliations.
- Revenue Recognition Compliance: Ensure revenue is recognized precisely and in accordance with accounting standards. Tasks include but are not limited to, reviewing and analyzing customer contracts, monitoring and analyzing revenue trends, and preparing revenue reports for monthly fluctuation meetings with executive management.
- Process Improvement & Automation: We value innovation! You will identify opportunities to enhance our revenue and billing operations, improve system efficiency, and automate repetitive tasks, making our processes smoother and more effective.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Teamwork is at our core, and as a Revenue Operations Analyst, you’ll partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and other departments to ensure smooth revenue operations and alignment on our essential initiatives.
- Audit Support: Assist with audit deliverables, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Ad Hoc Analyses: You will also have the opportunity to engage in ad hoc analyses and exciting projects that support our revenue-related efforts as the company is experiencing rapid growth.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in revenue operations, ideally with a background in US GAAP, IFRS, or other global accounting standards.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and tools and familiarity with NetSuite are advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience handling large data sets.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
What Would Be a Plus:
- Working knowledge of BillingPlatform, Salesforce, PowerBI, and Sovos.
- Experience with writing SQL.
- Experience working in a growing SaaS technology business, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Strong passion for data integrity, comfort with large datasets, and an enjoyment of solving complex problems.
- A strong desire to get things done and build something great alongside other ambitious individuals.
