What skills do I need? 

  • 5+ years as a player/coach in a fast-paced environment, SaaS and/or manufacturing sales a plus
  • Proven track record of quota attainment in an inside sales capacity
  • Highly productive communication skills, with ability to manage multiple emails, phone calls, social media, and more each day
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude is a key quality to succeed on the Tulip  team
  • Possess a strong background of achieving over 100%+ of your quota
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com; organize / report on all sales productivity on a consistent basis
  • Ability to quickly learn Salesforce, Outreach, Zoominfo, Linkedin Sales Navigator

 

Key Responsibilities:

As the regional Commercial Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to build upon and maintain a book of business in an entrepreneurial fashion. You will be responsible for the sale of Tulip’s products and services across your region while building and managing a full stack Commercial Team to support the growing APAC business. This role must be based in Singapore. 

 

  • Achieve ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) growth objectives for APAC business
  • Identify, evaluate and respond to key business issues of end users and develop, present and demonstrate Tulip capabilities to the customer.
  • Enable individual contributors to achieve ARR growth objectives by leveraging Tulip’s various engineering, legal and procurement resources.
  • Confirm and provide territory management data: forecasts, account management documentation and activity reports to Tulip management providing basis for strategic account planning.
  • Screen, interview, hire and ramp headcount within the Commercial team.
  • Provide sales training and development and overall sales management to the individual contributors. 
  • Develop, document and improve sales processes required for the APAC commercial team to be successful.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with channel and strategic regional business partners and ensure satisfaction level.

 

In addition, as the Commercial Team Lead of the APAC region for Tulip, this position will also be responsible for running day to day operations of the entity and building the infrastructure to support the entity’s growth over time.

 

  • Responsible for business and GTM strategy in the APAC region, in partnership with the Executive Leadership team
  • Work with HQ operational teams to ensure day to day operations are smooth and efficient (operations, HR, legal, finance)
  • Identifies methods for improved operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Breaks silos and build partnerships across functions and regions. Creates and sustains a network of trusted client relationships.
  • Serves as a mentor and role model for coaching and the development of people.
  • Champions diversity; recruits, retains and develops talent.
  • Involved in hiring processes for all new members of the team; should be the bar-raiser and push for culture adds who will be entrepreneurial and can help build the company 
  • Regularly communicates and ensures key messages are cascaded throughout the organization.
  • Advise executive leadership team on a magnitude of issues.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made
  • Scale the APAC operation accordingly with the growth of the business in the region
