In a Nutshell: 

The VP of Analytics will be the local strategic lead of the analytics function, and will help steer strategic growth of the function company-wide. They will be responsible for direct oversight of a portfolio of brands in our NY office and support the analytics strategy and capability development of the department. They will be the go-to subject matter expert in analytics within the New York office, and will contribute as a leader to the overall growth of the organization.

What You’d Do: 

  • Develop the strategic vision for the analytics function for a portfolio of clients New York office that sets us apart from other agency analytics offerings that can be shared across VaynerMedia offices and the larger VaynerX ecosystem
  • Collaborate with the global analytics leads on creative and strategy insights initiatives inclusive of cross-audience insights and creative insight aggregation at scale (platform best practices, benchmarking)
  • Contribute to the agency leadership team keeping a pulse on client team priorities, identifying analytics opportunities in existing accounts, and ensure analytics is negotiated into business growth opportunities
  • Standardize dashboarding and reporting across VaynerMedia New York clients working with media and global analytics leads
  • Work with the partnerships team to develop relationships with existing and prospective data and measurement partners
  • Support the New York Analytics team managing career development and continuing education for NY-based analytics resources
  • Continue the development of organic social media reporting and insights
  • Build and execute general media, strategy, creative measurement, analytics, and insights POVs including lead high risk/low bandwidth experimentation across measurement and insights 
  • Oversee capability and tool development as driven by client demand 
  • Reinforce a company wide analytics mindset across the larger media organization 

What You’ve Got:

  • At least 10 years of experience working in an Analytics capacity in the Media industry with a proven track record in building measurement, reporting, and insights ecosystems to support decision making processes
  • Expertise in two or more of the following advanced analytics methods: descriptive statistics, predictive statistical methods and machine learning, multi-touch attribution modeling, MMM, cross-device measurement, A/B multivariate testing, and incrementality testing
  • Understanding of a broad range of online advertising media channels such as Search, Display Banners, Email, Contextual, and Social, as well as subject matter expertise in at least one of these areas
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Experience with third party research partners such as GfK, Nielsen and comScore
  • Understanding of ad verification tools such as IAS, Double Verify, etc
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to both external and internal clients, and ability and comfort with presenting to executive level clients
  • Ability to develop frameworks for steering complex analytics projects
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and/or teams
  • Advanced written and presentation communication skills with the ability to command an audience's attention and displays an exceptional gravitas 
  • Desire to learn and adopt new techniques and technologies that are relevant for clients’ media strategies

Base Salary

$215,000 - $240,000 USD
