The Chief People Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and will be responsible for developing and executing Veracode’s global people strategy. This leader will oversee all aspects of Human Resources including talent acquisition, organizational development, total rewards, employee engagement, culture, performance management, HR operations, and leadership development.

The ideal candidate is an experienced executive who has successfully scaled high-performing teams within fast-paced SaaS, cybersecurity, or technology organizations. This individual will bring a balance of strategic leadership, operational rigor, and a people-first mindset while aligning talent strategy with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Executive Leadership & Strategy

  • Partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to align people strategy with company growth objectives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Build and scale a high-performing People organization that supports a global workforce.
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen company culture, engagement, accountability, and performance.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Oversee global recruiting strategy and employer branding efforts to attract top talent across technical and business functions.
  • Develop scalable hiring processes that support rapid growth while maintaining a high talent bar.
  • Partner with leadership to forecast organizational needs and workforce capabilities.

Organizational Development & Employee Experience

  • Design and implement programs focused on leadership development, employee engagement, retention, and career growth.
  • Drive performance management and talent review processes that support accountability and development.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative culture that reflects Veracode’s values.

Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations

  • Oversee compensation philosophy, equity programs, benefits strategy, and executive compensation planning.
  • Ensure HR systems, policies, and compliance practices scale effectively across the organization.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and international employment laws and regulations.

Culture & Change Management

  • Lead organizational change initiatives associated with growth, transformation, and evolving business priorities.
  • Champion transparent communication and employee engagement across all levels of the organization.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including executive-level leadership within high-growth SaaS, cybersecurity, or technology companies.
  • Proven experience leading global HR and talent functions in organizations scaling through periods of rapid growth and transformation.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leadership and boards.
  • Deep expertise across talent acquisition, organizational design, compensation, employee relations, leadership development, and HR operations.
  • Experience building and scaling high-performing, data-driven People organizations.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and modern people practices.
  • Demonstrated success fostering strong company culture and employee engagement.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within cybersecurity, developer tools, cloud, or enterprise SaaS organizations.
  • Experience supporting distributed and global teams.
  • Prior experience preparing organizations for scale, acquisitions, or transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with metrics-driven HR organizations and modern HR technologies.
