What's exciting about the role

The Technical Trainer creates, maintains, and delivers curriculum to Verifone-authorized service contractors across Latin America, the Caribbean, and North America. This role works closely with engineering, sales operations, and technical support to ensure all training materials are accurate and up to date. Technical Trainers are subject matter experts who frequently lend their expertise to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the activities of customers, Verifone authorized service companies, and/or employee training in the operation, installation, and maintenance of company products.  
  • Plan course design and support documentation appropriate for multiple audiences with varying needs.  
  • Conduct online and in-person technical training courses for customers, Verifone authorized service companies, and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products.  
  • Interact with customers, Verifone authorized service companies, third party trainers, and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses.  
  • Work with engineering, technical support, and sales operations to ensure that course material reflects current product offerings and features.  
  • Create classroom and internet-based training programs including design of graphics and templates, building HTML backing & voices modules.  
  • Manage training relationship with partner company remote training staff.  
  • Perform governance on existing curriculums offered by Verifone.  
  • Work in live field environments with certified technicians on Verifone hardware/software to enhance working knowledge of Verifone products.  

Qualifications

  • BA/BS preferred or relevant experience. 
  • Bilingual - working proficiency in both English and Spanish
  • Minimum of 3+ years in a technical role within payments, POS, or a related industry preferred 
  • Ability to work independently for extended periods, including while travelling and managing multiple projects. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products. 
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate new products and design appropriate training curriculums
  • Excellent technical comprehension skills.  
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills including audio recording. 
  • Comfortable working in a distributed team environment with shared development responsibilities. 
  • Preferred experience with tools such as Articulate, Adobe Captive, Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, SharePoint, Jira, Salesforce, and other common technology platforms.
  • Comfortable with up to 30% travel.
