About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. The role will be based in Palo Alto, CA. We are seeking a highly-motivated, detail oriented, and analytical individual to join our growing accounting team. A successful candidate is one who thrives in a highly dynamic environment and looks to partner across the organization to establish best practices. The candidate will be responsible for establishing and owning relationships with our partnerships team to develop scalable order to cash processes, executing various month-end close activities, and identifying process improvements for the team. This position requires a strong understanding of US GAAP, comfort with ambiguity and change, and a growth mindset with passion for continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with Wing’s partnership teams to understand customer contracts and develop systematized invoicing processes and templates to achieve timely invoicing with customers
- Scale Wing’s invoicing, revenue recognition, and billing processes to support Wing’s future growth
- Reconcile open receivable balances from partners and prioritize timely collections with the business development team
- Streamline cash application processes, including establishing repeatable procedures for cash application by geography
- Document and conclude initial technical accounting conclusions for partnership agreements
- Translate technical accounting conclusions into operational and systematic financial processing flows
- Establish Indirect tax processes including, but not limited to transaction based taxes (sales tax, GST etc)
- Own accounting requirements for entity set up, working across Wing and Alphabet stakeholders to support go live requirements
- Support and assist in ad hoc projects (eg. avg days to pay analysis, Alphabet quarter end requests) across the accounting and finance teams
What You’ll Need:
- 8+ years of experience required, within technology, logistics, or manufacturing industries preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics, or equivalent experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) License is preferred
- Strong understanding and application of accounting principles and financial reporting (GAAP required or IFRS is a nice to have)
- Experience reviewing ASC 606 transactions inclusive of ASC 842 evaluation, multiple element arrangements and material rights
- Experience developing invoicing and collection processes for partners across the globe
- Experience establishing and implementing processes that scale with business
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with a passion for synthesizing complex data into a clear storyline
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to actively contribute to our work culture
The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

$162,000 - $182,000 USD
