About the Role:

Wing is looking for a UX Designer to join our UX team. This hybrid role will be based in Palo Alto, CA.  

The UX team is seeking a talented UX Designer to play a key role in Wing's Marketplace initiative, making significant contributions to build our Consumer App. This is an exciting opportunity to design and deliver user-centered solutions for our consumer-facing marketplace, ensuring a seamless and delightful experience that engages end-consumers and supports growth. You'll work with the team to collectively solve complex problems in the B2C Drone Delivery space, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define user needs, validate design choices, deliver web and native experiences, feature sets, and interactive prototypes by focusing on executional design strategy and on-time delivery.

In this role, you'll utilize your UX and product design background to create user-driven design solutions, supporting internal teams and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle. Your work will contribute to design quality standards and support product design, product and engineering decisions that are aligned to maximize user and business outcomes. This includes executional design and contributing to design strategy for web and native applications, navigation systems, prototypes, and MVPs. A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to design user-centered solutions for consumer-facing applications is essential.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Develop user journeys, mockups, prototypes, storyboards, and presentations to effectively communicate design ideas and the overall vision for the 1P Consumer App.
  • Work with UXR/PM/Eng and other stakeholders to build empathy and user journeys for the Marketplace initiative.
  • Propose new design features, lead workshops, and effectively deliver user experiences for the 1P Consumer App.
  • Rapidly iterate on journey maps, user flows, and designs based on feedback from users and stakeholders, with a focus on optimizing the consumer shopping and delivery experience.
  • Partner with other designers to refine design systems and integrate new features into our evolving products, ensuring consistency across the Wing ecosystem.
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure designs are implemented to spec and collaborate with them to come up with creative design solutions when technical challenges arise.

What You’ll Need: 

  • 5+ years of work experience in UX design, with a strong emphasis on e-commerce, marketplace design, or consumer-facing applications.
  • BA/BS degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A portfolio showcasing simple solutions to complex problems, high quality work, and attention to detail for platforms including Web, iOS, and Android, with a focus on mobile-first design.
  • Curiosity and passion for designing beautiful, thoughtful, intuitive, and delightful experiences in a B2C environment.
  • Proficiency working in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and/or other industry-standard design software.
  • Showcase your track record of leading through ambiguity and designing complex flows and user journeys, specifically within an e-commerce or marketplace context.
  • Experience and ability to integrate user research and business needs into product designs.
  • Experience conducting usability testing to measure products' utility, usefulness, experience and interaction, with a focus on optimizing conversion/retention, engagement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including communicating design in a clear, concise, and compelling way through written reports and presentations, tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Regularly make use of your soft skills to persuade and build alignment: listening, negotiating, decision-making.
  • Foundational understanding of front-end engineering concepts.

The US base salary for this full-time position is the salary below + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary details during the hiring process.

 

Salary

$166,000 - $193,000 USD
