About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Product Manager, UTM Interoperability to join our UAS Traffic Management (UTM) team. This role will be based remotely out of Palo Alto, CA. As a Product Manager, you will pave the way for expanding highly automated UAS operations, expanding Wing’s ability to manage UAS operations at a global scale, and enabling effective integration of UAS into the airspace. The ideal candidate has experience launching safety and regulatory compliant products, driving product strategy and roadmap for complex, integrated systems, and works effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional team.
What You’ll Do:
- Spearhead the product development lifecycle for safety and regulatory products related to UTM interoperability, from initial concept through successful launch and post-launch optimization
- Craft and rigorously maintain a dynamic, comprehensive product roadmap for UTM interoperability, deeply aligned with the company's overarching business strategies
- Conduct in-depth analysis of key system performance indicators, meticulously balancing customer needs, evolving regulatory mandates, and technical feasibility to prioritize initiatives
- Translate high-level strategic objectives into actionable product plans, ensuring seamless integration with broader company goals
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential roadblocks, adapting the roadmap to address emerging challenges and opportunities in the rapidly evolving UTM landscape
- Foster deep, collaborative partnerships with engineering, UX, regulatory, policy, and leadership teams to drive seamless product execution, ensuring alignment on priorities and deliverables
- Act as a central point of communication, facilitating clear and concise information flow between teams and stakeholders
- Champion a culture of quality and compliance, ensuring all products meet or exceed established standards and regulatory mandates
What You’ll Need:
- 6+ years of experience in product management experience, preferably in the aviation, aerospace, or drone industry
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, aviation, or a related field
- Strong understanding of UTM concepts, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Experience with integrating complex systems and managing technical projects
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to effectively influence and communicate across multiple functions and up and down the organization
- Experience understanding standards, policies, and users, translating needs, and prioritizing features to deliver value
The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
Salary Range
$151,000 - $234,000 USD
