About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Sourcing Analyst to join our Global Sourcing team. This role will be based in Palo Alto, CA. This position seeks highly motivated individuals who enjoy working in a highly dynamic team environment. The successful candidate is able to demonstrate the ability to analyze and strategize data sets and contracts for the direct hardware that goes into Wing’s delivery drones.
What You’ll Do:
- Work across direct and indirect sourcing teams, managing projects, spend, and strategic initiatives.
- Develop strategies using sourcing data sets, including bills of materials, pricing models, and key contracts, with a focus on scalability.
- Utilize data to drive cross-functional team strategies and project prioritization.
- Assist with key strategic contracts, analyzing terms and pricing.
- Develop cost trend analysis and robust should-costing methods for Wing commodities.
- Market Research and Analysis: Research and analyze market data, supplier capabilities, and pricing trends to support informed decision-making.
- Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery reliability, and performance.
- Spend Analysis: Analyze spend data, contracts, and cost structures to identify opportunities for savings and efficiency.
- Supplier Data Analysis: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop supplier scorecards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, finance, operations, legal) and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Data Management: Maintain and update supplier databases and sourcing tools.
What You’ll Need:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Engineering, or closely related fields complemented by relevant practical experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing efficient tools to track supply chain performance metrics, KPIs, SLAs for the entire company
- Develop and manage QBRs and other vendor performance management dashboards
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, material reports, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to improve process efficiency and reduce costs.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential sourcing-related challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, and Finance.
- Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly growing organization, with a willingness to embrace change and learn quickly.
- Experience working in multinational environments and with global supply chains is a significant plus.
- Proficiency in utilizing ERP or MRP systems for inventory management and procurement.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
Salary Range
$162,000 - $189,000 USD
