About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Technical Program Management team. This role will be based in Palo Alto, CA. As part of Wing’s Technical Program Management function, you’ll embed yourself in the work of the engineering and operations teams to drive cross-functional delivery of strategic and high value programs spanning the entire spectrum of Wing’s on board software and hardware. The ideal candidate will be an excellent program leader with experience managing complex programs across organizational boundaries to deliver new technical capabilities, tracking progress towards organizational goals & objectives, maintaining program plans and timelines, and identifying gaps and problems and proactively mitigating and resolving them.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage all aspects of a given project from start to finish, organizing priorities, proactively identifying potential blockers, and brainstorming solutions to mitigate.
- Own and manage goal-setting and definition of success criteria for the Hardware Development team on a quarterly basis, continually helping to balance priorities of incoming work.
- Drive requirements discussion and design reviews that include artifact development and validation criteria.
- Regularly report on progress including risks, impacts, and mitigations to cross functional stakeholders,
- Act as an agent of change, continually helping your clients and stakeholders to find clarity and reinvent processes as business needs dictate.
- Develop and own productive internal relationships with Operations, Engineering, Legal, Marketing, Product and Regulatory stakeholders.
What You’ll Need:
- 8+ years managing hardware and embedded software projects
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Experience leading hardware/software integration programs, preferably in consumer electronics or UAV environments
- Knowledge of the regulatory acceptance and approval process for UAVs
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with experience presenting to leadership stakeholders
- Technical aptitude and strong analytical skills
- Experience with EVT/DVT/PVT validation phases
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall program management styles
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing and sometimes stressful environment
- Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders in a distributed working environment
The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
Salary Range
$208,000 - $221,000 USD
