Job Summary:
Wing is looking for a Operations Evaluation Specialist to join our Flight Operations team. This role will be based onsite in either Dallas, TX or Hollister, CA. The Operational Evaluation Specialists plays a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and reliability of Wing's operational systems and processes. This position involves planning, executing, and analyzing operational evaluations, providing data-driven insights to drive improvements and support the safe and efficient deployment of new capabilities. Individual collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, participate in all phases of operational evaluations, and contribute to a culture of safety and operational excellence. Additionally, the Individual will be trained and required to perform specific Part 135 roles as part of quarterly assessments to maintain proficiency.
This position is subject to Wing’s Drug and Alcohol testing policy in accordance with Wing’s procedures and DOT/ FAA regulatory requirements
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and manage operational evaluation plans, defining scope, objectives, methodologies, and timelines, driving continuous improvement, and conducting Ops Assessments.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Engineering, Flight Test) throughout the development cycle to align on requirements and achieve project goals.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of operational procedures and evaluation results, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Provide clear and concise data analysis to support operational decision-making, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, applying basic engineering principles to find root causes and implement solutions.
- Successfully perform specific Part 135 roles as part of quarterly assessments, demonstrating and maintaining proficiency in Wing's systems and procedures.
What You’ll Need:
- 3+ years of professional experience working with sUAS and/or a 4 year degree in an associated field.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and readily adapt to changing requirements.
- Data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and present findings.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating and sharing information.
- A focus on practical application, efficiency, and reliability in all aspects of work.
- Current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- Current driver’s license and clean driving record within the last 36-months
- Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written English
- Willing to meet Pilot record Database (PRD) consent requirements
- Must possess FAA First, Second, or Third Class Medical Certificate or obtain prior to start date
- Successful completion of Wing’s Part 135 training curriculum and qualification as a Wing PIC
The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
Salary Range
$71,000 - $124,000 USD
