About the Program:
Join Wing's 12-week paid summer internship! This is a hybrid, in-person program based in Palo Alto, CA, with start dates in May or June. Eligible candidates must be a current student enrolled in a degree program and intend to return to the program after the completion of the summer internship.
About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Hardware Engineer Intern to join our Electrical Engineering based in Palo Alto, CA.
The position seeks highly-motivated individuals who enjoy working in a highly dynamic team environment. The successful candidate is able to demonstrate a broad understanding of electromagnetics, wireless systems, electrical circuit design, prototyping, and analysis skills based. We’re looking for people who are intrinsically driven to solve hard problems with stunningly simple solutions, move fast, and are highly adaptive.
You’ll be optimizing cutting edge avionics for compatibility with wireless systems. This will include using hands on benchtop and analysis of flight logs to identify and debug desense issues. Once desense problems are identified you will be responsible for designing, implementing and verifying hardware solutions.
What You’ll Need:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field, graduating between December 2026 and August 2027
- Experience in electrical engineering: reading and understanding an electrical schematic, measuring voltage waveforms, soldering, rework, hands-on circuit troubleshooting
- Understanding of electromagnetics including capacitance, inductance, coupling and waves.
- Experience with at least one programming language (ex python or matlab) for analyzing and plotting data.
This is your chance to:
- Experience PCB design/bringup, wireless electronics and antennas
- Work with advanced wireless test equipment including spectrum analyzers and gnss simulators.
- Solve real world problems causing interference with wireless communication and gnss positioning systems
- Gain valuable experience at the forefront of the rapidly growing drone delivery industry
- Use Python and SQL to analyze aircraft flight data to identify issues and validate solutions
The US base salary range for this internship position is the salary range below + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

$106,000 - $109,000 USD
