Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Palo Alto, California

About Wing:

Wing offers drone delivery as a safe, fast, and sustainable solution for last mile logistics. Consumer appetites for on-demand services are increasing, but current delivery methods are inefficient, costly, and contribute to road accidents and air pollution. Wing’s fleet of highly automated delivery drones can transport small packages directly from businesses to homes on-demand, in minutes. We design, build, and operate our aircraft, and offer drone delivery services on two continents. Our technology is designed to be easy to integrate into existing delivery and logistics networks, offering a scalable drone delivery solution for a broad range of businesses. Wing is a part of Google's parent company, Alphabet, and our mission is to create the preferred means of delivery for the planet. If you're ready to do the greatest work of your life, come join us.

About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join our Performance Marketing team. This role is hybrid based in Palo Alto, CA. In this high-impact role, you will own how Wing engages, retains, and re-activates customers after their first drone delivery, turning first-time curiosity into a lasting habit. You won't just send campaigns; you will design the end-to-end customer journey that keeps active-user volume growing as Wing launches in new cities.

As a Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will own and stay hands-on in our customer engagement platform, building, testing, and launching personalized email, push, and in-app programs across a growing footprint of markets and partners. You will work closely with Analytics, Product, Brand, Creative, and Commercial teams to lead market launches, seasonal moments, and partner campaigns. You will also keep Wing's digital footprint, including city pages, partner solution sites, and address checker tools, accurate and conversion-ready. You are responsible for the metrics that matter most after acquisition: repeat orders, retention, and churn.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the lifecycle strategy and roadmap: Set and own Wing's end-to-end lifecycle strategy, from onboarding and activation through retention and win-back. You're accountable for repeat order rate, retention, churn, and customer lifetime value.
  • Build programs that drive repeat orders: Design and launch customer journeys and promo strategies across email, push, and in-app, localized for each market.
  • Stay hands-on and scale the program: Build, QA, and launch campaigns directly in our customer engagement platform. Expand automation, personalization, and processes as Wing grows into new markets.
  • Measure what's really working: Partner with Analytics and Data Science to run A/B and holdout tests. Measure how many extra orders campaigns and promos actually drive and what they cost, and turn what you learn into the roadmap.
  • Lead launches and keep the website current: Own lifecycle and website readiness for new market launches, partner campaigns, and seasonal moments.
  • Report results and influence other teams: Share results and recommendations with leadership. Push Product and Engineering to build the lifecycle features you need, such as better data, tracking, and in-app placements.

What You’ll Need:

  • 8+ years of marketing experience, including at least 5 years in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing, ideally at a consumer app, marketplace, or on-demand delivery company.
  • Expert, hands-on experience in a customer engagement platform (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Customer.io), including segmentation, triggered journeys, and dynamic personalization. Working knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • A track record of measurable gains in retention, repeat purchase, or win-back, including designing promos and measuring how they affect costs and profit per order.
  • Strong analytical skills, including designing A/B and holdout tests. SQL skills are strongly preferred, and Looker or Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience launching programs across multiple markets or time zones, and managing web content in a CMS.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills, including presenting to senior leadership and getting buy-in from Product, Data, Creative, and outside partners.
  • A degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
