About the Role

We are looking for experienced Endoscopy Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to support an Endoscopy service on the Isle of Wight.

You will work as part of the Endoscopy team, supporting patients before, during and after their procedures and assisting the clinical team with the smooth running of the service.

Essential Experience

You must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working specifically as an Endoscopy Healthcare Assistant within the last year in a UK Healthcare setting.

This is a mandatory requirement. Candidates without this level of recent Endoscopy HCA experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Admit and prepare patients for endoscopy procedures
• Check patient paperwork and complete baseline observations
• Chaperone patients and maintain their dignity and comfort
• Assist with positioning patients for procedures
• Support nurses during procedures with appropriate tasks
• Clean trolleys and prepare rooms between cases
• Transport patients to and from procedure and recovery areas
• Support patients during recovery, including observations, refreshments, and basic care

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy HCA experience within the last year
• Confident working within an Endoscopy environment
• Good communication and patient care skills
• Comfortable working as part of a busy clinical team
• Available to work Saturdays and Sundays
• Able to travel to the Isle of Wight, with likely travel on Friday evenings
