Veterinary Assistant for busy 24/7/365 ER

Summary: Join our dynamic team as a Veterinary Assistant at our bustling 24/7/365 Emergency Room. You will play a crucial role in supporting veterinarians and providing compassionate care to our animal patients. This position is ideal for those with a passion for animal welfare and a desire to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians during examinations and treatments
Prepare animals and work areas for procedures and surgeries
Monitor and document animal vitals and behavior
Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners and addressing their concerns

Required skills:

Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies calmly
Basic knowledge of animal behavior and healthcare
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical ability to lift and restrain animals
