Human Resources Business Partner

Bengaluru

Emergent builds autonomous coding agents that replace traditional software development by generating, testing, and deploying production applications directly from plain-language intent. Our systems run in production at global scale and are used to build millions of real applications.

Since our public launch, we've crossed $100M in ARR and grown to over 10M users across 190+ countries, who have built 12M+ applications on Emergent. We're backed by Creaegis, Claypond, Sentinel Global, Khosla Ventures, SoftBank, Google, Lightspeed, Prosus, Together, and Y Combinator.

We're solving the hard part of AI-driven software creation: correctness, reliability, security, and scale in real production systems. The team is built by repeat founders, Olympiad medalists, IIT & IIM alumni, and leaders from Google, Amazon, and Dropbox.

We're hiring builders who want ownership, speed, and impact at global scale.

The Role:
We are looking for a seasoned HR Business Partner to work closely with leadership and function heads as we scale rapidly across India and the US. This is a high-ownership role for someone who has built, scaled, and run people programs in complex environments and covers a breadth of responsibilities. You will work as a partner to business leaders while also rolling up your sleeves to build the HR foundations of Emergent as it scales.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with function heads and leadership on all people matters, like org health, team structures, and workforce planning
  • Build and refine HR policies, processes, and systems that stay relevant with the business priorities
  • Manage employee matters with applicable principles, sound judgment, and fairness
  • Use HR analytics to drive decisions
  • Support change management during periods of rapid growth, restructuring, or new market expansion

What We're Looking For:

  • Bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, first principles thinking, and the ability to build from scratch in a fast-moving environment
  • A rich HR background with at least 8 years as HRBP at a high-growth startup or technology company
  • Deep hands-on experience working across various parts of HR
  • Proven track record of leading org design and restructuring exercises
  • Strong command of compensation principles
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and founders
  • Highly analytical, comfortable with data, spreadsheets, and HR systems
  • MBA/PGDM in HR or an equivalent qualification preferred

Benefits and Perks:

  1. Daily Meals: Lunch and Dinner provided
  2. Family Insurance: 3 Lakhs worth of coverage for you and your family
  3. Unlimited Paid Time Off: Take the time you need to recharge and come back refreshed
  4. Flexible Working Hours: Work arrangements that fit your life and commitments

Let's build the future of software together.
