Partner Development Lead - Technology Partners

San Francisco

Emergent builds autonomous coding agents that replace traditional software development by generating, testing, and deploying production applications directly from plain-language intent. Our systems run in production at global scale and are used to build millions of real applications. Since our public launch, we've crossed $100M in ARR and grown to over 10M users across 190+ countries, who have built 12M+ applications on Emergent. We're backed by Creaegis, Claypond, Sentinel Global, Khosla Ventures, SoftBank, Google, Lightspeed, Prosus, Together, and Y Combinator.

We're solving the hard part of AI-driven software creation: correctness, reliability, security, and scale in real production systems. The team is built by repeat founders, Olympiad medalists, and leaders from Google, Amazon, and Dropbox.

We're hiring builders who want ownership, speed, and impact at global scale.

The Role

Over the past few months we've built joint go-to-market plans with technology partners including AWS, Anthropic, OpenAI, MongoDB, and Stripe, partners our SMB customers already rely on. We now need a senior individual contributor to take those plans from paper to execution: running the joint campaigns, integrations, and milestones that turn a signed plan into measurable customer acquisition, retention, and revenue impact. This is an execution-first role. The strategic groundwork and relationships are already in place; your job is to make the plans real, on time, and with the outcomes we committed to our partners and to each other. You'll report to our Head of Partnerships (formerly of AWS and Stripe) as one of the first dedicated partner hires, with real latitude to shape how this function works.

What You'll Do:

  • Execute against joint go-to-market plans already in motion with technology partners such as AWS, Anthropic, OpenAI, MongoDB, and Stripe, turning committed activities (co-marketing campaigns, joint launch moments, credit bundles, badges, and integrations) into shipped, measurable outcomes.
  • Own the day-to-day relationship with each partner's team, including regular business reviews and a joint scorecard tracking adoption, co-marketing reach, and retention/revenue impact.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with product and engineering on technical integrations (APIs, partner infrastructure), with marketing on co-branded campaigns and launch events, and with finance and legal on commercial terms.
  • Continuously evaluate our broader pipeline of complementary technology partners and bring the highest-leverage ones from early exploration to a signed, executing partnership.
  • Negotiate and manage commercial terms (revenue share, co-marketing investment, credits and funding) consistent with Emergent's standard partnership framework.
  • Report on progress, blockers, and impact across all active technology-partner motions, and build the internal tools and processes that let this function scale.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or alliances with technology, platform, or infrastructure partners (payments, cloud/database infrastructure, marketplaces, or AI/ML companies).
  • A track record of turning a signed plan or agreement into an operating go-to-market motion: you're as comfortable executing as you are deal-making.
  • Comfortable in technical partner conversations (APIs, integrations, data infrastructure), working closely with engineering and product to get things shipped.
  • Strong program-management skills: you can run several concurrent partner motions with hard external dates and keep every one of them moving.
  • Comfortable operating with a lot of ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment where the function is still being built.
  • Self-motivated and professionally persistent: you proactively find and remove internal and external barriers rather than waiting for a process to catch up with you.
  • Anchors every decision on joint customer success, not just partner count or deal volume.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with payments (e.g., Stripe), database/cloud infrastructure (e.g., MongoDB, AWS, GCP), marketplace, or AI/LLM ecosystem partnerships.
  • Experience planning and executing co-marketing campaigns and joint launch events with enterprise technology partners.
  • Familiarity with the AI/LLM landscape and how startups build with it.

Why Join Us:

  • Take live, high-leverage partnerships with leading technology companies from plan to measurable impact.
  • Work directly with a Head of Partnerships who has built these motions at AWS and Stripe.
  • Shape how a fast-growing AI company executes and scales its technology-partner engine.
  • Real ownership, meaningful equity, and global impact.

Benefits and Perks:

  • 401(k)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off: take the time you need to recharge and come back refreshed
  • Flexible Working Hours: work arrangements that fit your life and commitments

Equal Opportunity

Emergent is an equal opportunity employer. We know that strong partnerships talent comes from a wide range of backgrounds, and that candidates from underrepresented groups, including women and people of color, are statistically less likely to apply unless they meet every qualification listed above. If this role excites you and you meet most, but not all, of what we're looking for, we encourage you to apply anyway. We evaluate candidates on their skills, judgment, and record of results, not on pedigree, and not on a perfect match to a bullet list.

Let's build the future of software together.
