Welder

Specific Role: 

Welder is a key role in EMIT’s manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for welding parts, according to blueprints and instructions, based on your daily production scheduled expectations.  

Key Accountabilities: 

• Complete priority weld hours daily: 10%  

• Ensure parts have proper fitment. Cutting, bending, grinding may be required: 60%  

• Ensure the finished product meets specified quality standards by referencing blueprints: 15% 

• Ability to read blueprints. Escalate errors or necessary changes in process to Team Leader: 10%  

• Keep areas and tools organized, clean and clear of potential hazards. Complete the weekly welder checklist: 5%  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification or technical training preferred

• 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment (MIG/TIG/Stick as applicable)

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols

• Proficient in cutting, bending, and grinding to achieve proper fitment

• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met

• Comfortable escalating errors or process changes to team leadership

• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. repeatedly and stand/walk for the duration of a shift

• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all PPE and safety requirements

• Self-motivated with the ability to meet daily production expectations
