Welder
Specific Role:
Welder is a key role in EMIT’s manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for welding parts, according to blueprints and instructions, based on your daily production scheduled expectations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Complete priority weld hours daily: 10%
- Ensure parts have proper fitment. Cutting, bending, grinding may be required: 60%
- Ensure the finished product meets specified quality standards by referencing blueprints: 15%
- Ability to read blueprints. Escalate errors or necessary changes in process to Team Leader: 10%
- Keep areas and tools organized, clean and clear of potential hazards. Complete the weekly welder checklist: 5%
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification or technical training preferred

1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment (MIG/TIG/Stick as applicable)

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols

Proficient in cutting, bending, and grinding to achieve proper fitment

Strong attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met

Comfortable escalating errors or process changes to team leadership

Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. repeatedly and stand/walk for the duration of a shift

Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all PPE and safety requirements

Self-motivated with the ability to meet daily production expectations
