Field Service Supervisor

Specific Role:

The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for leading field operations and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of service work. This role provides direct oversight of field crews, reinforces standards, and drives accountability in safety, productivity, and workmanship. The Supervisor plays a hands-on leadership role in the field—supporting crews, resolving issues in real time, and ensuring work is completed correctly the first time while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Accountabilities:

Job Readiness & Crew Support

  • Ensure crews are properly prepared to execute assigned work safely and effectively
  • Verify tools, equipment, and materials are appropriate for the scope of work
  • Ensure equipment is serviced regularly and is operationally ready
  • Reinforce expectations for job readiness, professionalism, and preparedness
  • Identify gaps in readiness and take action before work begins
  • Support crews in understanding job scope, expectations, and safety requirements

Scheduling & Dispatch Coordination

  • Support alignment of crews to jobs based on skill set, complexity, and priority
  • Communicate field realities that impact scheduling (job duration, delays, crew performance)
  • Provide feedback to improve schedule accuracy and workforce utilization
  • Adjust field execution as needed to stay aligned with operational priorities
  • Assist with identifying efficiency improvements and implementation of processes

Job Execution Support & Field Scoping

  • Oversee and support field execution to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and within scope
  • Conduct field scoping or validation to confirm job conditions and requirements
  • Identify and resolve issues in real time to prevent escalation or rework
  • Ensure crews are following procedures, specifications, and safety standards
  • Escalate major issues, risks, or scope changes appropriately
  • Be the backup; ensure work is completed on schedule if team members are absent
  • Be the runner; if the Team is missing something, ensure it is provided for them without them leaving the jobsite
  • Be the trainer; know the jobs well enough to train the new guys and hold Teams accountable

Post-Job Closeout & Invoicing Coordination

  • Ensure work is fully completed to standard before close of business
  • Verify that required job documentation is accurate and complete
  • Reinforce accountability for capturing labor, materials, and job details
  • Support timely job closeout by ensuring field responsibilities are fulfilled
  • Ensure job paperwork is logged in the proper location for tracking

Documentation, Reporting & Continuous Support

  • Maintain accurate and complete field-level documentation and records
  • Provide clear communication on job status, field issues, and performance
  • Identify recurring operational issues and contribute to process improvements
  • Support consistency in how work is executed and documented across crews
  • Reinforce standards that improve efficiency, quality, and scalability
  • Ensure our crews represent EMIT well and our customers are taken care of

Physical and Safety Requirements

  • Ability to work in active field environments and job sites
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activity for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 25 lbs.
  • Commitment to following all safety policies and promoting a strong safety culture

Pay Range

$80,000 - $100,000 USD
