Plant Manager

Specific Role:

We’re looking for a strong, hands-on Plant Manager to lead daily production operations at EMIT Technologies. In this role, you’ll oversee production execution through the division Production Managers, ensuring high-quality products are delivered on time and within cost targets.

You’ll serve as a visible leader on the plant floor—setting clear expectations, driving accountability, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. This role requires a balance of operational oversight, leadership development, and structured problem-solving to ensure the plant operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer expectations.

Key Accountabilities:

Lead Daily Plant Operations and Performance

  • Direct daily production execution across all divisions to achieve efficiency, quality, and cost targets

  • Align Production Managers and frontline teams on daily priorities and shift expectations

  • Resolve production issues, bottlenecks, and resource conflicts quickly and effectively

  • Drive accountability for meeting delivery commitments and operational performance metrics

  • Ensure production flow supports on-time delivery and operational excellence

Develop Leaders and Strengthen Teams

  • Set clear performance expectations for Production Managers and hold them accountable for results

  • Coach, mentor, and develop frontline leadership to strengthen decision-making and problem-solving capabilities

  • Foster a culture of ownership, discipline, and continuous improvement throughout the plant

  • Promote a safe, high-performance work environment aligned with EMIT’s values

Drive Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement

  • Apply structured problem-solving methods to address operational challenges

  • Implement process improvements that reduce waste, increase efficiency, and optimize workflow

  • Ensure operational challenges are resolved with sustainable, long-term solutions

  • Use data and frontline feedback to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities

Deliver Customer-Focused Manufacturing

  • Align production activities with customer delivery, quality, and cost expectations

  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to ensure smooth order fulfillment

  • Reinforce the connection between production performance and customer satisfaction

  • Anticipate and mitigate risks that could impact delivery timelines or product quality

Ensure Safety, Compliance, and Operational Integrity

  • Enforce compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

  • Promote a proactive safety culture grounded in accountability and clear standards

  • Ensure quality systems protect employees, customers, and production integrity

  • Lead by example in maintaining disciplined, compliant plant operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience considered

  • Proven experience leading production teams or plant operations in a manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through frontline managers and develop leadership capability within teams

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production flow, and operational metrics

  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives and structured problem-solving

  • Working knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced production environment

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams

  • Data-driven mindset with strong organizational and decision-making skills

  • Hands-on leadership style with a focus on accountability and results

Physical and Safety Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods

  • Consistent use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Adherence to all safety protocols when operating equipment or handling materials

Pay Range

$150,000 - $200,000 USD
