Press Brake Operator - 2nd Shift

Sheridan, Wyoming

Specific Role:

Press brake machine operation plays a key role in EMIT’s manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for the safe, efficient operation and utilization of assigned press brake equipment while supporting daily production expectations, quality standards, and overall manufacturing flow.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Execute daily production schedules while ensuring finished products meet specified quality standards.
  • Maintain organization of Manufacturing Orders (MOs), including transferring completed work to pallets and properly labeling parts.
  • Maintain accurate job and production status within OSEON.
  • Keep assigned equipment and work areas clean, organized, and free of potential hazards.
  • Follow established operating procedures and communicate production, quality, or equipment concerns as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in manufacturing or fabrication preferred.
  • Little to no prior machine operating experience required; 1+ years of press brake or similar manufacturing equipment experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of measurement tools, including calipers, tape measures, and gauges.
  • Familiarity with production tracking or ERP/MRP systems, such as OSEON, preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established production procedures.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new equipment, processes, and technology.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet production expectations.
  • Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Desire to develop new skills and grow within EMIT Technologies.

Physical and Safety Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move for the duration of the workday.
  • Properly use required PPE at all times.
  • Follow all established safety procedures when operating equipment, using tools, and handling materials.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and immediately report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns.

Pay Range

$18 - $28 USD
