As a Product Owner, you will own the product backlog for your area, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful software solutions. You will work closely with development teams, translating high-level requirements into detailed, actionable user stories that drive the creation and enhancement of product features. Your role will involve owning the development process from conception to release, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring smooth execution throughout the product lifecycle. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that customer needs and business objectives are at the forefront of every decision.

Job Responsibilities

  • Product Management
    • Independently own and manage the product backlog for area of ownership by writing clear user stories and defining acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and driving prioritization decisions in collaboration with leadership.
    • Independent Ownership of release execution, driving the process end-to-end, resolving dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring smooth, successful releases across the organization.
    • Understanding of area of ownership and impacts on other product areas.
    • Understanding analysis, processing and management of large financial data set and products
    • Manage strategic relationships with data providers and third parties.
  • Feature Ownership
    • Contribute to solutioning activities to identify how to solve priority problems for area of product ownership by collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop well-defined epics.
    • Support the team product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy while prioritizing features, setting timelines, and keeping stakeholders informed.
    • Contribute to the creation of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and user engagement.
  • Market and User Research
    • Review, understand, and apply market and competitor information, learning how to identify trends and potential opportunities.
    • Participate in user research, analyzing feedback, and validating new features or concepts with end-users to ensure they address real customer needs.
    • Support customer engagement by participating in meetings, taking notes, and assisting with follow-up actions, while learning how to effectively gather customer feedback. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • A minimum of three 2+ years’ experience in a combination of business analysis, product management, project management and/or software application development.
  • Team player with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and goals
  • Proven ability to manage a product backlog and write clear, actionable user stories.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • Basic understanding of market research, user research, and customer feedback.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams, including design and engineering.
  • 2 years of experience in financial industry

The salary range for this position is $94,00 - $125,000; commensurate salary to be determined based on skills, professional background and expertise.  This position is also eligible, pursuant to applicable eMoney policies, for the annual bonus program, retirement contributions, health insurance, sick leave, parental leave and paid time off.
