Senior Product Designer

The Senior Product Designer is responsible for creating solutions for a core product line, and collaborating across teams (Product, Technology, Research) to execute. This role will serve as a key influencer and liaison between Product Management and Technology teams to ensure quality and consistency of our solutions from concept through delivery. The Senior Product Designer will lead solutioning on a combination of new product features and enhancements to existing capabilities, leveraging a solid base in user-centered design principles and user empathy to improve our products and increase satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design process for features and enhancements from ideation to implementation
  • Work with relevant Design and Product stakeholders to understand overall long-term vision and objectives and help execute on pieces of that vision
  • Lead relevant user research efforts and synthesize insights to inform design decisions and develop user-centered solutions
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, workflows, and visual designs that communicate requirements and objectives that align with our design system
  • Work closely with agile development teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and educate stakeholders and teammates on the value of design thinking in product development
  • Be a key contributor and influencer to our design system and overall design process
  • Be a key voice within your team(s) to represent the voice of our customers by articulating their objectives and pain points
  • Participate in team ceremonies to advocate for the objectives of the Product Design team
  • Periodically lead design studios or other relevant ideation exercises within your team(s)
  • Drive innovation and push boundaries in product design by exploring new technologies and design trends and how they can thoughtfully be applied to our objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related field a plus
  • 6+ years of experience in product design or related roles
  • Demonstrated expertise in solving complex design problems and delivering impactful design solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to get up to speed quickly on complex product areas
  • Experience in financial services is a plus

Skills

  • Strong understanding of design systems, information architecture, and interaction design principles
  • Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and drive design initiatives
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution with the ability to understand business goals and user needs and align design solutions with both.
  • Ability to synthesize discussions and quickly prototype ideas
  • Good persuasive storytelling and reasoning skills to humanize complex concepts to build understanding and alignment
  • Expert level skills in Figma, Adobe Suite and other modern design tools
  • Basic understanding of fundamental business concepts related to how our SaaS business functions and how our clients operate
  • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, including ability to create and run group workshops
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated empathy for our users, understanding their needs, motivations, and pain points to design solutions that are intuitive and effective.
  • Ability to advocate for and execute research projects as necessary

The salary range for this position is $119,000 - $156,000; commensurate salary to be determined based on skills, professional background and expertise.  This position is also eligible, pursuant to applicable eMoney policies, for the annual bonus program, retirement contributions, health insurance, sick leave, parental leave and paid time off.
