Job Summary

The Senior Director of Business Development will be responsible for working in lockstep with sales and marketing leadership and the executive team to develop, execute, and continually optimize the business development function of the organization. As leader of BDRs, you'll define the contribution model, strategy and approach to inbound and outbound opportunity creation, and lead a team of Business Development Reps including regional leads, and ultimately deliver on the pipeline defined by market.

The ideal candidate will be based remotely within the Eastern Time zone in the USA.

 

What You’ll Do Here

  • Lead team of BDR Managers and BDR’s (currently about 25 Internationally) ensuring high quality hiring, continual training and coaching, while meeting the goals defined by required inbound and outbound BDR work
  • Facilitate and share best practices and service level agreements for BDR team are followed and managed spanning email, calls, research, time blocking, working with AE’s and so on
  • Define & manage special incentives to drive consistent and always improving results
  • Report on progress across markets, products, funnel, cohorts, tactics and more in near real time with a structured framework that ensures ability to change course as needed
  • Conceptualize, implement and optimize full-funnel, integrated demand generation campaigns in partnership with marketing
  • Work with sales managers and their teams to drive full funnel conversion metrics expected
  • Work with marketing team to ensure a through process from lead turn over, to lead management and conversion to opportunity
  • Manage BDR managers including the systems, process, goals, and commission packages for the entire team

 

What You’ll Bring to Us

  • BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field, MBA preferred
  • 3+ years of BDR leadership with B2B SaaS companies with 2-3 years of individual contribution as a business development rep
  • Proven ability to engage with clients
  • Expert in Salesforce and other marketing tools
  • Capable of learning our platform and investigating our client's use of the platform 
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills
  • Top notch presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of data collection methods (surveys, focus groups, etc.)
  • Skilled in the use of (but not config) Salesforce, Marketo, and other marketing tools
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to adjust to changing dynamics
  • An enthusiastic, high-energy team member who is viewed as a “doer” on the team and across internal organizations 
  • Willing to travel as needed to activities/events
