About the role:
Lantern is looking for a Director, Solutions Architect to join our fast-growing team. This role serves as a trusted advisor and solutions leader, partnering with Health Plan Sales leadership to drive and win new business. The individual will leverage deep health plan and vendor expertise to design creative, scalable solutions and integration strategies, particularly in risk products, that align with partner goals and operational priorities. Acting as the bridge between business challenges and technical/product solutions, this role will collaborate cross-functionally to shape infrastructure for growth, manage new initiative intake, and resolve escalations. Success requires balancing detailed technical conversations along with strategic, executive-level discussions, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, and championing innovative approaches that maintain long-term business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor by partnering closely with the Sr. Director of Solutions Architect and VP, Health Plan Sales on qualified partnership opportunities, serving as the solution SME and strategic thought partner to drive and win new business.
- Leverage deep health plan and vendor experience to design creative, and scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly with health plan ecosystem partner operations and priorities.
- Consult, develop and implement comprehensive product solutions and integration strategies aligned with health plan and ecosystem partner goals, with emphasis on risk products.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and influence infrastructure needs that enable future business growth and operational scalability.
- Establish and manage a structured intake process for new health plan growth initiatives, ensuring prioritization, visibility, and efficient execution.
- Lead resolution of prospect and partner escalations by working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance service delivery and trust.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure operational success.
- Ensure health plan contracts align with operational goals, performance metrics, and service-level agreements to drive improved partner retention.
- Monitor industry and competitive trends, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of health plans.
- Demonstrate the ability to flex between deep technical discussions with specialized audiences and higher-level strategic conversations with non-technical executive stakeholders.
- Champion forward-looking, differentiated strategies that enhance competitiveness and support sustainable business growth
Requirements:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree
Work Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare, health plans, or health tech, with a strong background in solutioning, product integration, or vendor/partner management.
- Experience working directly with health plans and ecosystem partners (e.g., TPAs, PBMs, risk-bearing entities) required.
- Strong track record of acting as a strategic thought partner to sales and product leaders to drive business growth.
- Proven success in working with internal cross-functional teams in building and scaling complex solutions.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of health plan operations, risk products, and integration strategies across the healthcare ecosystem.
- Ability to serve as a bridge between business needs and technical/product solutions, translating complex requirements into actionable strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills, with ability to toggle between deep technical discussions and executive-level strategy conversations.
- Strong problem-solving and solutioning mindset scrappy, creative, and able to design scalable approaches under ambiguity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage escalations, intake processes, and infrastructure planning to enable organizational growth.
- Proven ability to build trusted advisor relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.

- Strong understanding of emerging healthcare and health plan industry trends, with the ability to proactively recommend innovative solutions.
