Lantern is seeking a Marketing Systems Engineer — a forward-deployed technical specialist embedded within the Growth Marketing function and serving as the primary systems owner for the entire Growth Marketing tech stack. This role owns the how: architecting integrations, deploying AI-powered and agentic automation, and ensuring Lantern’s marketing technology stack is scalable, measurable, and continuously improving. The ideal candidate is a lead management expert who operates with a high degree of autonomy, brings hands-on AI maturity, and understands the Growth Marketing function as deeply as the tools that support it. They know when to apply AI and when traditional integrated solutions are the right answer - and can defend that judgment to leadership with data and conviction.

Location: Hybrid - at least 3 days/week in our New York City office

Your Mission

Reporting to the Sr. Director, GTM Systems and embedded within Growth Marketing, you will:

  • Act as an embedded technical owner for the Growth Marketing tech stack - partnering directly with Growth Marketing leadership to translate business needs into working solutions, leading every stage from requirements gathering and solution design through build, testing, and deployment with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Own, operate, and continuously improve the full Growth Marketing tech stack: HubSpot, Outreach, Nooks, ZoomInfo, Clay, and Salesforce – identify gaps and help shape where the stack goes from here.
  • Design and implement lead management workflows end-to-end: from initial intake and campaign execution through outbound engagement and conversion tracking, ensuring every handoff is instrumented and every outcome is measurable.
  • Build and deploy agentic and AI-powered solutions that eliminate manual process across top-of-funnel workflows - knowing when AI is the right answer and when a traditional integration is faster and more reliable.
  • Pilot new tools with rigor: develop a structured point of view on trade-offs and ROI, document your findings, and present clear build-vs.-buy recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain a prioritized, visible systems roadmap - communicating what is in progress, what is next, and why, in a format that earns the trust of non-technical stakeholders.
  • Articulate system and workflow designs in Lucid or comparable diagramming tools, and explain those designs to non-technical marketing leaders in a way that is compelling and builds confidence.
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce Admin team and Salesforce Architect on CRM-side implementations - and bring hands-on Salesforce Flows experience (and Apex/SQL where needed) to accelerate delivery without waiting on others.
  • Be relentlessly organized: plan, test, and measure every solution with documented baselines and outcomes - so the team always knows what changed and whether it worked.

What You Will Bring

  • A minimum of 5 years owning or deeply administering a B2B growth marketing tech stack (CRM, sales engagement, data enrichment, & marketing automation tools).
  • Hands-on production experience with Clay.
  • Demonstrated, shipped AI and agentic automation experience applied to GTM or revenue operations workflows - with a clear, defensible point of view on when AI is and isn’t the right answer.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously across the full project lifecycle.
  • First-hand lead management experience - supporting lead intake, campaigns, outbound sales engagement, and tracking leads through to conversion.
  • Proven ability to instrument lead tracking end-to-end and surface actionable conversion analytics to team managers - with an understanding of what it takes to build and sustain lead data quality across integrated systems.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into measurable technical outcomes - and communicate system designs clearly and compellingly to non-technical marketing leadership.
  • Proven ability to pilot new tools, develop structured trade-off analyses and ROI assessments, and present clear build-vs.-buy recommendations to leadership.
  • Experience maintaining a prioritized, visible systems roadmap that keeps stakeholders informed and initiatives properly scoped before work begins.

Preferred Skills:

  • Salesforce experience building moderately complex Flows in a production environment and familiarity with Apex and/or SQL for custom logic is strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot, Outreach and ZoomInfo are nice to have.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
